The Netherlands live a few years in the past when it comes to American media so even though I'm a '97 kid, I still get all the 90's references.
 
I was born in 95 but my brothers were born in the early 80's so I am a lot more cultured than people would expect from my age.
 
Meanwhile in Scandinavia we're super modern and have spaceships and teleporters and all.

those are like the two most bizarre things you could single out from the '90s. well, okay, skateboards I kinda get but that was as much a thing in the '80s and '00s than it was then, but rap? Really? rap has been a persistent cultural thing since like 1982.

I wonder if there are or are going to be kids that have that 90's nostalgia for the 00's.
 
I already have 00's nostalgia lol. Pokemon, Kablam, Danny Phantom, Drake and Josh, Nsync lmao.
 
I came late to the game when it comes to music, so I got really into the 00's music in 2010, so the nostalgia hasn't kicked in yet.

Rap's popularity was on the rise during the 90's, along with skateboards, but I've been listening to Spanish music and watching reruns of old cartoons and anime (and my N64) throughout my childhood.
 
Well, Grunge and pop-punk also did their thing then. So you missed that as well.
