There, I crammed all my relevant past usernames into the title.

Hello, I'm adventure but people here call me Rika. I'm a Swedish girl whose idea of a perfect evening is to sit on my balcony with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, soundtrack music in my earphones and some fiction or roleplay text waiting to be written. It's either that or a loud outdoor party in the sun with games and barbecue during which you follow up ideas you wouldn't call smart on any normal day.

I'm studying synthetic chemistry at a university, I mod two sections on PC, I think Homestuck is the smartest thing ever and I love Doctor Who and time travel stories way too much.

I figured I probably shouldn't rant away here, because then you'll have nothing to ask me. So, I hope there's someone who wants to know something about me, otherwise I'll just crawl back into my Swedish corner and... write something :3​

Where do you see yourself in five years, in terms of an occupation?

No. I mean okay :) It's several reasons. Firstly, it's amusing in a way I appreciate. Loads of references to pop culture and much parody. But there's also so much a control freak/rpg fan can appreciate there; all the main characters have a class and an aspect, superpowers, and they are all unique yet follow a system that the fandom has spent years trying to fully organize while Hussie (the creator) only give hints through canon about how the real game works (the game the characters are playing, called SBURB or SGRUB). And all the characters have very unique personalities! As a roleplayer, I appreciate deep and well thought through characters when I see them, and I've never been mixing up any of the 8 kids or 32 trolls with each other.

And the reason it's so smart, a lot has got to do with the twists of the story. Time travel. So much crazy time travel and loops and paradoxes and stuff that ends up fulfilling itself and realizations... Stories that can make me go "ahaaaaaaaaa" or "NO WAY THAT WAS WHAT THAT WAS" are ones I label as masterpieces.


Where do I see myself in five years, hmm. Probably as a researcher either at the company I'm summer working at right now, or at a university somewhere in Sweden. Or maybe even in the US. There is a chance I'll be living abroad in the future, because that would be a great experience.

Considering your theme is Aladdin-based, what would you say was the time in which you got in the most trouble? On the flip side, what would you say was the time in which you were so sneaky that you didn't get in trouble?

I am really sneaky and can get away with a lot of things actually :x But when I do get caught, the repercussions are that much greater. I don't want to go into details haha but there's been some painful stuff I got away with until I couldn't keep it in anymore.

I enjoy red wine much more than white these days. I've tasted some really good Australian wines actually! French wine is overrated ;) Nah haha, between labels they can differ so much in quality and taste. I prefer red wines that are 13% or so, not too sweet but also not with that sharp tinge.

I've had this many times, it's pretty cheap but tastes good!

Though I can also appreciate a low alcohol Riesling white wine~ Supposed to be sweet and almost bubbly.

Uuuuh. John x Roxy maybe haha. And still hoping that Dave x Jade has a chance and also Karkat x Terezi I think, because cute real friends. Though I used to ship Karkat x Jade a lot because they had such wonderful interaction in Act5 Act2. AND ALSO WV x PM they are so cute omg, I hope they meet again and that WV can calm PM down or something. Though I admit Jack x PM has its charm too, but they are more like a very dark black quadrant. /nerd

Favorite character, hm, might be Terezi, John, Roxy and Jade. I mean, Terezi is so great but has her flaws which makes her even greater, Roxy is just so fun haha and Jade is amazing. Jade is a little too great actually, all kind and decently smart etc. And totally OP with the green sun stuff on top of her Space and Witch powers. And John is just an adorable dork, you can't not love him.

Favorite scene... Oh there are so many. But one of the very best is End of Act 6 Intermission 1. The foreshadowing coupled with the amazing music (Infinite Mechanism is one of my absolute top tracks) finally made me stop missing the Beta session and "classic" Homestuck and instead really look forward to what the Alpha session would bring. Especially in the middle there when the Battlefield is shown to be in its first stage, with only two kings moving around forever - after seeing the completely broken and ruined Beta Battlefield, this gave so much hope :D

So far it seems like I enjoy pokémon journey roleplays and superpower roleplays the most. Classic :3

Hm, I don't think it matters much to me if an idea is completely original or set in an established world, as long as the RP is well fleshed out and the GM makes sure to run it smoothly and explain enough.

I make new characters for every RP. I really enjoy creating characters so I wouldn't want to use the same over and over again because it's nice to come up with new stuff :3 Sometimes I've reused aspects or names of course.

It was fantastic. We were a group of friends who traveled just for the heck of it and we stayed at a hostel in Warsaw and spent our days exploring the city and the restaurants pretty much. One evening we found like a backyard spot with several pubs/clubs and hung out there and it was so incredibly fun. One day we traveled to see Auschwitz-Birkenau and after that we hung out in Krakow for a while. It was some kind of national holiday there so there were festivities all around town. Really nice! We had to take the train back to Warsaw in the evening though so we didn't get a taste of what night life might have been like and can't compare it to Warsaw's.

But I completely fell in love with Warsaw. The old town, rebuilt and with all the cozy streets and squares, the river, the big square with the monument of some Swedish king or whatever who moved the capital from Krakow to Warsaw, haha, and that big open space with the momument where soldiers always stood on guard and a flame was burning. And we went to check out Praga one day when we were really hungover and looking for someplace to have breakfast. Got completely lost in the backstreets of Praga hahaha but finally found a kebab diner near the big sports arena :p But overall, the people and food and everything about Warsaw was just amazing. I love that city.

I like it sharp, tasteful, a bit bitter but at the same time with lots of flavours... and if I can, I then add fat milk so it's 30-40% milk ahahha. Because I really like the taste of coffee and milk together. I do drink black coffee as well though, but then it's gotta be good coffee, like quality espressos or carefully brewed coffee with dem flavours.

A four leaf clover :3 I love crawling around in grass trying to find clovers actually, and in general I think it's a really nice and simple symbol that means nothing yet so much.

Yes, Rika is a nickname, close to my full name. Mum said that she planned to call me something else but when she first looked at the newborn me, the new name popped into her head and felt right. And I like it so I'm glad :) Rika was a nickname I got online years ago since 1) I didn't want to use my full name here and 2) my full name sounds so weird in English pronounciation anyways :p but I feel that I am Rika just as much and have actually been thinking of using it as a pseudonym if I ever get a book published.

Oh it's so hard to pick, I've done so much. Perhaps Hilda in Gilded Halls recently, she felt so genuine to play and her superpower was soooo cool if I may say so myself, haha. I wish that I get to use her and her power again somewhere. Because I never quite got around to do that much.

My plan is to impress people over the coming year and get either a permanent job or PhD studies where I'm currently summer working. I don't want to say too much here, but it's not about medicine as it seems like most synthetic chemists from my programs focus on, because I wanted to be different. It's more electronical :) my dream however is to have a stable job that is encouraging and interesting but not uptaking all my waking time - because I want to be a writer on the side, possibly for children's books.

Haha, I'd take away the italic formatting on admin names, mend the broken forum skins that I've been wanting to use, and also code an integrated pad system into the Roleplay Corner so that we could collaborate easily on posts without having to bother with PMs or offsite places! That would be Rika-friendly.

If you somehow got lost in a forest without any food, water and utensils, what would be the first thing you would do? How would you survive the nights so as to be safe from wild animals that lurk on both land and in trees? Also, how would you try to find a way out?

Honestly, I wanted to change from "Red's Hawt Chibi Pelippers" and was playing around a lot to see what cool usernames were available. When I found out that the simple and basic "Adventure" was, I really couldn't understand why nobody had taken it yet and really couldn't not take it, haha. I like it a lot and feel rather bound to it. It's a good username on a pokémon forum, especially if you're a roleplayer :) I go on adventures all the time in RPs haha. I'd like to think that life is an adventure too! But you don't have to go #yolo on everything; each adventure and life is unique.

I might change back to my alt's name "Doctor" soon becase the new season of Doctor Who has made me skdjfksjkds again ;) But not sure. "Adventure" is much more me somehow. Maybe because it was the first name I had after having been RHCP for four years or so.

Pffft. Pokémon, easy. Really. I'm not that much of a gamer so there's not many other franchises there that I care overly much about ;D

It's amazing. I only have one year left now; it'll be my sixth one. It's sort of sad and I'll probably try to experience as many student-life things as possible in the coming months just for the heck of it. It's really been the best time of my life, but I'm also rather eager to get on and out into the real life and build a career for myself.

What would you say is the most embarrassing situation you've gotten yourself into? On the flip side, what would you say is the most dangerous situation that you've ever gotten yourself into?

Embarrassing... I don't know actually. A lot. But I tend to wave embarrassing stuff away rather quickly and convince myself that it's the onlookers that experience it as embarrassing because they want to - if I don't want to, I shouldn't feel embarrassed. Something :)

Huh. I haven't lived a very dangerous life xD Possibly when I drove my car on an icy road and it started spinning. There was a sort of steep edge on the side of the road and when the car slid that way I thought it would roll over and I swear my heart stopped for a moment. Luckily, it stopped spinning there once if slid off the road, cringed, sitting on the steep ledge but not falling over. Another couple of cars had to stop and their drivers carefully pried me away from the brake pedal and steering wheel though, because I was too scared to move.

Didn't want to drive my car for a few days then, but since nothing actually happened the shock was over after that.

Haha, yeah, wine and coffee is life <3 I would like to visit! But at the same time it's rather daunting how far away from Sweden you are. It'll take over a day to go by flight I think, and it'll be really expensive. And also I'm sort of worried about all the dangerous animals I've heard about down there, haha.

It's a bit difficult, yeah. But it's not a lot of maths or programming or projects like the engineers have to go through. I'm focusing on my branch of chemistry and learning a lot of things about a pretty narrow subject. So there's a lot of details and practical procedures to learn and get used to, and I'll have to use it all now that I'm doing my thesis work for a whole year. Yeah!

Honestly? Aberdeen in Crossroads isn't the greatest character ever, haha. He's too... plain and regular. Bit of a Gary Stu really. I needed to refine and define some things in his SU a while into the RP to make him more of a unique thing. But I'm still not quite happy. But the RP is great! I love journey RPs and probably always will :) That's my main way of experiencing the main game themes, rather than playing them on a console, really.

In general, I assume I don't like too dark and gritty RPs. And oh, heavily fantasy-based RPs can also be a bother, at least if there's a deep medieval setting to it. In general I prefer science-fiction stuff much more than fantasy.

Oh, that's probably cats. I grew up with a lot of dogs in my home and I just got tired of them, haha. I started appreciating my cats much more than my dogs many years back and now I love to cuddle with the cats whenever I visit my family home. Sadly I don't have any cat in my apartment ;; it wouldn't be the same with a cat stuck indoors anyways. I love cats because they are 1) cute/beautiful/fluffy/cuddly, 2) not as dorky as dogs haha, 3) really cool in other shapes than just pet cats. Tigers, lions, leopards and especially lynxes are really beautiful animals I think.

I'd probably climb up a tree and get my bearings, haha. Then I'd build a little fort of pine branches and stuff. Or maybe I'd just panic. I think my forefathers lost the ability to survive in the wild somewhere along the road of evolution 8) I mean, I wouldn't survive without internet for more than a few hours, come on.

Yep, two. I'm the oldest and I have one brother who is a couple of years younger and one sister who is almost a decade younger. My parents always blamed me when my brother got into trouble when we were small and I hated it, haha. Nowadays they treat me like their buddy while my sister is still small and their kid, sort of. It's nice but I try to be very buddy buddy with my sis too because I think it's a pity that her siblings are so much older and have already moved away from home and all while she's not even into high school.
