altaria doesnt really look like a dragon to me,can't say I never used tho,cause once my sister caught a shiny Swablu and traded to me(love u sis),and also it's very powerful ingame I believe and that Dragon/FAIRY is a pretty awesome combo.But still when I look at him I mostly see a bird rather than a dragon.Maybe its' because it was introduced with 2 awesome other pokemons that perfecty represent the dragon(flygon and salamence)Maybe if it was introduced in gen 2 where the only dragon I can recall being introduced was Kingdra than I'd probably have another opinion

Do you like Altaria? Have you ever used an Altaria or mega Altaria before?
There are so many Pokemon I have neutral feelings towards and Altaria fits that mold. It's cute and fluffy, sure, but I can't seem to like it enough to be in the list of Pokemon I like but I do not dislike it either just because it has a nice enough design.

Mega Alt for sure in a few battles and I might have used one earlier during my XD days? I don't recall but I do remember Altaria was a Shadow Pokemon used by Lovrina iirc.

Did you remember Lisia from ORAS and her Altaria? Did you ever compete against them?
Took me a while to think of who she was but I do remember them. Never competed against them because I rarely dabbled in contests.

I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in maybe a dragon pokemon trade? I floated something like this before, but thought we might re-visit it now. I was thinking I could give away a nice shiny dragon, or maybe we could play a game or take part in a contest or challenge with the pokemon as the prize.

Since Altaria seems to be appealing to many members maybe I could feature a shiny Altaria or Swablu? This is just the first idea to pop into my head though, and I would be happy to discuss some other mons. It doesn't have to be this one, just tossing out ideas.

In SwSh, there is a way to always encounter shiny Pokemon in Raids so if possible, spawning a shiny Dragon-type for us to obtain through raids would be nice! I haven't done this myself but I was in many of those raids but I believe it involves RNG manipulation with advancing dates/times, putting the Switch to Airplane Mode, etc. So perhaps stuff like Kommo-o line, Hydreigon line, Goodra line, Haxorus line, etc.

Nice! This is becoming a treasure worthy of dragons that we're going to make an event out of. Depending on what game your using I can also add some hidden ability dragons like adaptability Dragalge and multiscale Dratini.

Garchomp is known to be coming back with the Swsh DLC, so that should mean that Gible/Gabite will exist/be transferrable to SwSh too. I just don't which part of the DLC they're supposed to be a part of though.

Awesome, I want anyone who trades to be able to participate and get at least something in this event should they desire, so mons in gen 7 games are just as welcome as the next! I know a lot of us don't have SWSH yet. I have at least one extra shiny Goomy that I believe I can offer gen 8 players, a pokemon that is already in the Galar dex. For now we could let gen 7 players choose between either the shiny gible or shiny Swablu. Note, if someone has both gen 7 and 8 and really wants a shiny gible to bring to Galar we could always give it to them on SM or USUM, and they could import it later I suppose.

I am going to send you a PM about this upcoming event to work out some of the details. I am really excited to be collaborating with you Firebolt! Thank you for your noble contributions to fellow dragons.

Hello Dragon tamers, we have a very special event for our members, our first dragon Pokemon giveaway. It's time for The Dragon's Share!



Us dragons have a reputation as fierce creatures who horde treasure. While I wouldn't deny this entirely, ultimately we are giving and noble class. Think of Dragonite who flies over the seas to rescue the drowning, or Drampa who plays with children and defends them from bullies, Zygarde's devotion to protecting and sustaining the ecosystem or Reshiram and Zekrom who assist heroes to build worlds of truth or ideals.

This week is a time for sharing the legendary bounty of dragons with the many courageous dragon tamers who have frequented these halls.

Six strong shiny dragon/dragonlike Pokemon are hiding in the spoiler tags. Members of Dragon Ascent may request any one of them, we will have sufficient quantities of all six, so take your pick.

This event is co-sponsored by our honorary dragon Firebolt. He has generously supplied half of the shinies, and I have matched the other half. We are happy to offer the following to Dragon Ascent members.

*A shiny lonely-natured Kingdra with swift swim. Kingdra is female and is in a net ball.

*A shiny female Swablu, jolly nature with natural cure and the egg move haze. Swablu is in a dream ball and has 4 max IVs.

*A 5 IV shiny modest-natured female Goomy with hydration. Goomy resides in a friend ball.

*A shiny jolly female Gible with it's hidden ability rough skin. 5 of Gible's IVs are maxed. Gible is in a heavy ball and knows 3 egg moves Iron Head, Outrage and Twister.

*A shiny timid male Charmander in a dream ball. Charmander has his hidden ability solar power, 5 IVs and the egg moves dragon dance, flare blitz and dragon pulse.

If you have not previously made a post in Dragon Ascent, but wish to join the club, then you may do so at any time and will be eligible to request one of the shiny dragons if the event interests you. However, you must answer the questions specified at sign up, undergo the trial by fire and pick either Reshiram or Zekrom as your club guide like everybody else. We expect you to participate. This is club for people who love dragons, if that is you then you have come to the right place.
