I don't care either way, but they were an interesting addition I am not use to seeing on websites like this. If you were to add more or remove them all, I wouldn't care. But as I said, they are a very interesting thing about this site.

I think some overhaul could be done to the system, like presentation and how they're awarded, but I'd rather not see them eliminated.

I really like the emblems. Not only do you receive that sense of accomplishment once you earn one, they are also tags of nostalgia that I like to look back on. Furthermore, since I joined in late 2013 I really don't know a lot about PC's past. I like to look on older member's profiles and check out their emblems, then look into the older events.

I would like for the emblems to stay, but maybe we could use them to have more of a purpose than them just idly sitting on someone's profile. Maybe we could have a leaderboard, and the emblems could stand as point. Similar to the statistics with the chat feature, maybe we could reflect that with the emblems. A lot of sites do this, which I don't particularly like, but maybe that the emblems could work as a point system for something such as shiny Pokemon or the ability for a non-supporter to create blogs or even the ability to move up a supporter class.

In keeping the emblems, I think that it would be cool if there was a sub tab created so that members could view past emblems, and be able to request certain emblems for people they see who deserve them. At the top of the 'Emblem Page' there could be a short tidbit which describes what emblems are and how one could attain them. Also, it could elaborate on the value of emblems as well. This would be particularly useful to newer members. I know that there are many, many emblems but I think creating a system like this would be good. For each particular forum, this would e nice as well. I like how Jellicent did this were here 5th Gen. forum here. This is a nice, concise list of each emblem that can be earned for the section, this could also provoke activity to "emblem hungry" members. I think that this could be implemented to each section of the forum, I really like it!

As far as changing the way emblems are handled and used, I also think that emblems should be showcased more in small ways which I've mentioned above. People have worked hard to create so many emblems, why hide them?

Since I only have two, one for being a supporter and one for winning a writing contest. I'd be sad because the emblem is the only thing we got from the contest, though the supporter thing you can tell, you know, from my name and such.

I agree with Ardent. There's a lot of times I've felt I deserved one, but we aren't even allowed to ask for them either. If there was some way to improve them and make it easier, I bet they would have more value and attention here on the forums.

I think people would care about them a lot more if we paid more attention to them as staff - I'm fairly certain that we're a little lacking when it comes to giving them out. I think it's obvious that the system could use an overhaul and some tweaks, but I wouldn't support scrapping it entirely without a comprehensive reform effort first. It's worth trying to save, I think.

After being gone for about two or three years....where's my BRB emblem? ;(

I feel like it would be a tedious thing to do for moderators and I'm sure that members who stick out the most probably have the most emblems...the subtle person who meets criteria but never asks for it or never gets noticed might not ever get an emblem (or even know they could have gotten an emblem!) If it was automatic, that'd be cool.

This basically sums up all my thoughts on the matter! There have been times when I thought I really deserved an emblem, but felt there was no use in asking since I'm not that close to any of the mods here, so the staff wouldn't see why I deserved it. Us members that aren't so active are kinda sorta overlooked in that respect, whereas others who are seen all around the forum are noticed and receive a lot of emblems.

I've also been waiting for 2 emblems for a while now, that I haven't received yet. I know the mod's been having trouble with it, but maybe if you're having problems making/giving out emblems, ask other staff members to chip in and help in these situations, so people wouldn't have to wait so long (but this is coming from an emblem-hungry person, so sorry if I'm being antsy and impatient!).

So I think the staff should clean up the system (not get rid of it altogether, mind) and make it so you can get certain emblems automatically. And update that darned Master's List, sheesh. >__>;

I like emblems because I can sometimes distinguish someone's personality. It gives a face to a person we don't know what they look like. But, if they are removed and replaced with something better, I'm fine with it.

I personally like them, they add something more to look at snoop on people's profiles. Emblems make it worthwhile to join up in events and such

Every once in a while, I like to look at my very small emblem collection and smile and reminisce. But I imagine it's a lot of work for the mods so I'd be okay if it was removed. Just give us a warning first so I can take a screenshot. ;)

They're little award thingamajigs. You can only see them on your profile page though. To see the ones you have, go to your page and then click the emblems tab near the top of the page.

They're given to you by staff when they feel like actually dealing with giving members emblems.

Reminds me of some of the events I participated in. Also, I'm an achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ xD
So removing them would be quite lame for me since I kinda 'worked' for it, you know? xD
But having automatically given emblems would be nice! But... having a certain number of emblem to get a supporter status wouldn't be good imo.. people would be doing everything to get those emblems just to have supporter status and yea..
