Happy and excited! I'm going on a boat today with friends & family. It's been ages since I've actually been on one!

I'm feeling rather content today. Yesterday was lots of fun! I ended up hanging out with my uncles (mom's two bros) and my mom at an event for July 4th. It was just concerts and the like. One of my uncles won me a little purple unicorn stuffie (I named her Purple Rain) and one of those blow up hammers. :3

Oh my god, same. I'm just beside myself. Japan has lost two incredibly influential people today.

It's devastating how those men lost their lives and my best goes out to their families.

Exasperated, but hopeful.

I took apart my dead Pump It Up pad, the very first one I bought, so I could observe how it was constructed. My. God. It's awful. It's so, so cheaply made. Now I can understand how it broke so easily. The worst part is, this type of pad is still being sold for much higher prices than better-quality pads. (Granted, the latter are expensive to ship since they're farther away from where I live, but they look so much smoother and are better built internally overall.) The structure had also rusted over so taking out some of the screws was hell. I'm still tired.

The good part is, the bar on this dead pad is accurate to the arcade machines' and the base has a strong anti-slip rubber (even stronger than that of my second pad - made by the same cheap manufacturer), so I'm going to keep these parts and use them as support for a new pad, once my current one inevitably dies. I still need to remove the wood blocks and paint it black, but hey, that's a plan and I'm on winter break now!

My bestie went on some kind of trip, and I'm not sure when he'll return. Forgot to ask. x.x Anyway, he won't be on as much for a while... and it makes me sad because I miss him and stuff.
