Today has been an immensely shitty day and I'm not in a great place right now in all honesty

I'm going through Xenoverse for a third time as you might already know, and finding a Sparkowl with a good Special Attack IV and the ability that will allow it to have Drizzle as Harrowk is hell. I've pretty much given up on it for the day. Plus... having watched the latest episode of House of the Dragon didn't help me stomach the prospect of having to go through certain plot points and seeing certain characters in this game again. I'm... not sure I want to continue. Except this time, if I decide not to continue, you can bet that I'm done for good. I'm not ready to put myself through the sheer torture that is the Ishtar City to Westar Gym segment again.

It's a shame, because I really, really like controlling the male protagonist. He's absolutely precious with his poofy red hair and puppy-like gray eyes. Why didn't I play as him earlier, before all the magic of this fan game just vanished?

I restarted my save file of Xenoverse which I wasn't very far along in, and started dissecting some of Clover (the MC's mom)'s dialogue. Reading it knowing she's Green from Adventures makes me think of the other Green - the one from the games, the one who's absolutely obsessed with Mewtwo. I know she canonically isn't, but I'm starting to think she was the real leader of Team Dimension all along and meant to get rid of Versil/Silver to have Mewtwo all to herself... yet failed, and spectacularly so. I never take into account that this game is actually based on the manga version of events, so...

I've actually been writing out my Pokémon Xenoverse fanfic over the last couple days. I kinda liked how it was going, but today, while I was taking a bath, I took some time to mull over the implications of a change I made to the plot. Cue a brilliant, world-shattering idea that somehow happens to make EVERYTHING come together, that springs from another I might have already commented on, and that fixes a lot of the complaints I had about the fan game's story, while at the same time remaining faithful to the (darkly) comedic tone of my fic.

Ohohoho. This is where the fun begins.
