    In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Expecto Patronum is an incantation to conjure the Patronus charm. A Patronus is a spectral forcefield that can dispel certain dark creatures in the universe. In addition to shielding you from attack, your Patronus can also be projected a great distance and used to send messages. This is advanced magic, and a full Patronus takes the form of whatever animal you most relate to. In the series we see the Patronus of many different wizards and witches, from cats to deer, wolves, phoenixes, swans and more.

    You need to have a positive memory to conjure your patronus however. No matter how powerful the wizard if you can't focus on something good the Patronus will fail.

    Mine would be a time I spent on a summer beach when I was 13, living in a little seaside cottage with my parents.

    I sometimes think Octopus for me.
     
    I have happy memories but most of them are suppressed so I do not think that any memory I have would be enough to summon a Patronus.
    I took the Pottermore test twice and got Dragon the first time then a shark the second though, I think personally I'd have some sort of snake.
     
    I could think of my first date with my bf, or the moment we said i love you for the first time :3 super strong patronus, go!

    It would be my previous birthday as well. My old friends surprised me and I was reaally happy that day. Also, a very superb friend of mine (who too wasn't in contact with me for a while) spoke to me! My patronus is a weasel, according to pottermore.

    Most of my happier memories are suppressed, but probably my happiest memory that I can recall was when I went on a cruise with my family and we had an awesome ocean view. Just sitting on the balcony was so relaxing.
    According to Pottermore, my patronus is a newfoundland, which is some type of dog....I guess.
     
    One of my fondest memories is going on school trips with friends. In the 10th grade I went on an overseas school tour of the US and it was one of the best two weeks of my life - the Wizarding World of HP was definitely a big highlight! I ended up liking the trip so much that I went back to the US at the end of last year after graduating HS. :)

    Also I just tried the Patronus Quiz on Pottermore and apparently mine would be a Tonkinese cat which is pretty neat!
     
    Wait, you guys have happy memories? It took me a while to come up with one, but I would say seeing my girlfriend teach for a first time was great. She didn't trust herself to do well, but when she started, she was so natural.

    My patronus would be definitely sloth.
     
    Sadly, I don't think I've experienced a strong enough positive emotion for a patronus, but the dementors would have a feast.
