Uerr, I can't say I recall the types of hotels I stayed at, except for one totally atrocious Knights Inn or somesuch in Arizona. There, yogurt is not chilled but almond milk turns to ice, on the rare occasions they provide some breakfast in the lobby it's no sooner than four days old, most everything looks atrocious and likes to kidnap DS games (sniffle, my Platinum)... well, at least it was only for the weekend, I suppose.

Here's an idea if anyone's running short on ideas, write a fic about yourself about how life would be like for you if you all of a sudden got sent to that certain anime world cause your real life sucked and you just wanted to get away from it all.

There are mostly Holiday Inns in my state, though they are slowly being changed/closed/over-run by other hotel chains. Which was why I was wondering why Bay was misspelling "Holidae", which I still don't know, since I don't know pop/rap culture past the 1990s.
Don't worry; you're not alone :P

You all (not just LeSabre and Astinus) can kill me afterwards. I actually don't like song. x_x

Haha, isn't it wrong that I feel so hip and young knowing that song? D: *gets shot*

Sorry to say, but I thought that's not a good idea and don't think anyone would do that challenge. For one, not all of us are into anime. Second, you make it sound like we're all emos here that writes fanfiction because we think real life sucks. Sure, I write fanfiction to relax, but it's not really because I think the real world sucks. I just get over with the bad side of the real world and go with the flow, not running away from it and staying at my comfort zone.

Sorry for being blunt, but I just don't like the way you worded it.

Er...you can post a video as long as it's on topic. We're talking about hotels are at the moment (how we suddenly gone to that topic I don't remember XD; ), and the video I'm posting is to show some people that haven't heard that song about a hotel chain (and a dying one from what LeSabre mentioned about the Holiday Inn).

I checked the rules, and so far I see nothing against posting videos (saved for abusing them and in autoplay). I understand if I'm abusing the videos, but in this case I'm not.

Again I'm sorry for being blunt. I should have been more nicer about it. However, the idea and the way you worded it makes it seems that is what you think of the people in the fanfic community and I feel I need to point this out to you. It's nothing against you and I still respect you for at least looking at this fanfic community. I only hope you respect us the same.

Er, yes, Konekodemon, please do try to calm yourself down and get your facts straight before delivering a witty response. Putting videos in our posts isn't a violation of The Rules, as Bay has pointed out. We know you were trying to be helpful by offering up a plot concept, but I believe it's been done plenty of times before (self-inserts, of which I myself am guilty) and you also jumped to a few too many conclusions. What, exactly, convinced you that everyone here thinks that our lives were epic failures and we needed to write self-insert fics to get away from it?

Or was this about our hypothetical lifes sucking?

Also: if anyone is still following Delta Species, chapter ten is up. |D

My real life is pretty damn good right now. I don't want to get away from it. Even if this was all imagination, I don't want to imagine how my good life can go bad.

And those kind of fics are seen all over this fandom. They're an old idea, have been seen before multiple times, and really don't offer much of a plot except for a rehash of the anime with the self-insert included.

If you're going to mini-mod, at least know the rules. Besides, videos have been posted before in the FFL, without me saying anything, because they don't break the rules.

I'm currently writing, and have posted a part of, a fic that is a fiend-hunter kid in the Pokémon universe.

Have I hit rock bottom finally?

I don't believe I have been in Quality Inns before - never seen them in Australia for instance. D=

Get on a plane? Lol. :P I don't believe we have Quality Inns in Australia. At least not on the East Coast.

WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THIS

START SWIMMING

So I went to this "Masquerade" yesterday, and I basically had forty minutes to prepare. I drove to an art store in ten minutes, bought a mask, a paint marker, and some wire in ten more minutes, crafted my costume in ten more minutes, and then drove the rest of the way to the party in the last ten minutes. Once I had arrived, we immediately did a White Elephant gift exchange, which netted me a wooden backscratcher capped with a golden hand. This matched my black-and-gold outfit perfectly.

I am so good.

My real life is actually too awesome (see above statement), so I'd probably be more prone to writing about it sucking instead. In fact I do.

Oh dear. They didn't tell you when they threw you in, did they? There is no bottom.

So I just saw the movie Avatar, and was quite surprised at how well it was done. Of course there were the reviews that were all like "BLARGH WATCH THIS MOVIE OR DIE!!!" and some movies were like "Yeah... *input typical movieness here.", but I think it is well worth to see it.
Oh, good. I was worried it was all hype. I was planning on going to see it with friends next week, so at least now I won't be too worried about spending $20 at the theater. =P

Heh, and I just found an article that calls Avatar racist.

I think they're focusing on the wrong Avatar movie (even though that movie isn't called Avatar).

Quality Hotel in Sydney. They have a few in Australia, but America is the chain's home territory.

Not at all. I just posted a parody of the song "Winter Wonderland" that's about fraud and white collar crime.

And... WHAT IS AVATAR AND WHY SHOULD I CARE? Are there Buicks in it? Or Quality Inns?

After rereading the last few pages which I missed by not being here because I was somewhere with no Internet connection, I have to wonder why all the good conversations pass by me unnoticed. Is it the time zone?

Being off-topic for a change is fun!

You're not alone...
I've only heard of two movies with the word Avatar in the name this year. I can only assume you guys are referring to one of the two...

Hi guys. XD
