In the Game of Thrones universe, which character do you feel best describes your personality, values, beliefs, and philosophies? Which character would you want to be?

Which idiom rings more true to you and why?
Variety is the spice of life.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

I AM SORRY THAT I AM ALWAYS BUSY
Dear Gavin. Where has your rank badge gone?
Dearest Rika, I don't like titles much, so I'd rather be seen for my posts and contributions more than my rank. they wouldn't let me make my name plain though also userbars or user rank text is ugly

@Question One
To be honest, someone who suits my personality most is probably Arya. She's a bit of a hothead, but she's a woman of the world, and doesn't really take much ♥♥♥♥. I'd be much the same. That said, I can often be a lot more refined with a rough edge, a lot more like Jaime Lannister. So I would say I am most like him (without the incest lol), we both hold pretty strong values and aren't too phased by doing the necessary for those we love. At the same time, he has a heart and cares for people the same way I do.

I think I'd like to be more like Sam, from the Night's Watch. He's clever, kind, and while he gets a lot of stick; he's brave. He's one of the strongest characters out there, despite being so timid.

@Question Two
Variety is the spice of life. I've never been a "glass half full" kind of guy. Not to say I'm pessimistic, but I tend to look at things as they are and move onto my next fun experience.

What do you plan on doing with your Game Dev skills? Officially that is.

What inspired you to study Game Development?
@Questione One
Well I'm a part of a small start up indie company right now with a bunch of talented guys. Most of us are students or young people, so I hope that the company can go somewhere in the future. That said, I would love to work in the industry as a designer or creative director. Being in charge of some of the direction of a big game is a dream of mine. I would love to direct the artists, designers, and 3D modellers and so on and give them direction on what route to take on a certain project. That's the kind of thing I'm good at, management is something I've always loved. So that's why I'm more of a "jack of many trades" than anything when it comes to what I'm good at.

@Question Two
I guess I was never really a studious guy. I never wanted to write essays all day long, so I didn't bother doing Philosophy which I originally wanted to after school. I was also tempted to do Music. However I'm not sure, the course I seen jumped at me, "Game Development & Interactive Media," it encompassed everything I loved. Though I didn't enjoy parts of it. Now that I'm finished, it's a notch on my belt rather than the launch pad for what I want to do next. So now I'm studying Multimedia Programming & Design. While I would love to work in a game company; I would be equally happy working for Google or something similar, to be true, that's my real aim.

Damn. That OP was deep. Like an ocean, with like - sharks. Not sure I can engage you on that high an intellectual level tonight at least, since I'm exhausted and kitties are on my lap. But I love your avatar, and it looks like the animation / film technique used in "A Scanner Darkly". Might I ask you what the source material is for your avatar?

Didn't see these. Oop.

What's your favorite Scottish word/phrase? ;p
They say "wee" instead of small, I've always found that funny. /childishstill

If I had some kitties on my lap, I probably wouldn't be so introspective. That movie is insane, though it's more "pop art" and "vector" mashed together which would be the style for that movie. I've had this one in my avatar folder for a while now, which is mixed with ones I've made and ones I've found on LiveJournal. So it's either from one or the other. You should check out LiveJournal if you're ever looking for good icons :]

What's your favorite television show, and how often do you watch it? If you don't have a favorite show, what's your favorite movie?
Ohhhh, I have so many favourites. Game of Thrones is probably edging it as my favourite show, even though I thought last season was a bit weak. I also love Vikings, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, Falling Skies, True Detective, and soon I think I'm going to start Boardwalk Empire. As for movies, I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as The Hobbit films. I like a lot of the other classics too like Pulp Fiction, and The Departed. But I would say that I watch LotR more than any other movie series.

If you could live in any time period but the modern age in any country but your own, when and where would you choose to live and why?
Modern age could be anything, so I'll denote two periods of time where I haven't been alive in. I would have loved to have been apart of the Swing/Dance era in the 1940's in somewhere like New Jersey or Sacramento. Simply because I love swing/jazz and find that whole era so stylish and sophisticated. I feel I would love loved it.

Prior to that I would have liked to have been in somewhere like Italy during the ~1460's as there was such an emphasis on art and the development of which. Da Vinci was young during that time too, I would have liked to have grown up in a time where there wasn't so many distractions from art. Which I feel has happened to me now. Technology has taken me away from what I really want to be good at, so I feel I would have been more at home without it.

Why do you bump a thread and then wait so long with replying? ;p
I spend too long procrastinating on what I should say :(

gavin! if you could change anything about your current self rn what would it be? why? ('nothing' counts as an answer too!)
There's a lot I would keep, but there are some thing I would change. I have a few minor health issues that I would like to have fixed, naturally. As for personality though, I think I would probably like to be more positive in general. That's one thing I think I'll work hard on. I'm pretty hard on myself, and I work so hard on everything in my life that I sometimes forget to put a smile on my face. So that's the biggest thing.

What's the best thread on PC you ever saw?
Probably anything ever made by JustinRPG or Spey from 2009.

Describe your dream job?

Do you have any faith in YA adaptations?

Why did your parents choose Gavin as your name?
