I AM SORRY THAT I AM ALWAYS BUSY
Dear Gavin. Where has your rank badge gone?
Dearest Rika, I don't like titles much, so I'd rather be seen for my posts and contributions more than my rank.
they wouldn't let me make my name plain though also userbars or user rank text is ugly
In the Game of Thrones universe, which character do you feel best describes your personality, values, beliefs, and philosophies? Which character would you
want to be?
Which idiom rings more true to you and why?
Variety is the spice of life.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
@Question One
To be honest, someone who suits my personality most is probably Arya. She's a bit of a hothead, but she's a woman of the world, and doesn't really take much ♥♥♥♥. I'd be much the same. That said, I can often be a lot more refined with a rough edge, a lot more like Jaime Lannister. So I would say I am most like him (without the incest lol), we both hold pretty strong values and aren't too phased by doing the necessary for those we love. At the same time, he has a heart and cares for people the same way I do.
I think I'd like to be more like Sam, from the Night's Watch. He's clever, kind, and while he gets a lot of stick; he's brave. He's one of the strongest characters out there, despite being so timid.
@Question Two
Variety is the spice of life. I've never been a "glass half full" kind of guy. Not to say I'm pessimistic, but I tend to look at things as they are and move onto my next fun experience.
What do you plan on doing with your Game Dev skills? Officially that is.
What inspired you to study Game Development?
@Questione One
Well I'm a part of a small start up indie company right now with a bunch of talented guys. Most of us are students or young people, so I hope that the company can go somewhere in the future. That said, I would love to work in the industry as a designer or creative director. Being in charge of some of the direction of a big game is a dream of mine. I would love to direct the artists, designers, and 3D modellers and so on and give them direction on what route to take on a certain project. That's the kind of thing I'm good at, management is something I've always loved. So that's why I'm more of a "jack of many trades" than anything when it comes to what I'm good at.
@Question Two
I guess I was never really a studious guy. I never wanted to write essays all day long, so I didn't bother doing Philosophy which I originally wanted to after school. I was also tempted to do Music. However I'm not sure, the course I seen jumped at me, "Game Development & Interactive Media," it encompassed everything I loved. Though I didn't enjoy parts of it. Now that I'm finished, it's a notch on my belt rather than the launch pad for what I want to do next. So now I'm studying Multimedia Programming & Design. While I would love to work in a game company; I would be equally happy working for Google or something similar, to be true, that's my real aim.
