we have an artificial one and always have, my mum is allergic to pine and my cats have a tendency to pull it apart anyway so a fresh one wouldn't last very long. Think its going up on Wednesday.
So today we decided to put up our Christmas tree and I didn't feel like digging our old tree out of storage so I convinced my parents that we should just get a fresh one.
What kind of plant lasts, dead, with green leaves for even one week, let alone two decades? Are they treated with some sort of preservative?oddly enough my mom and i also went into town today and we got fresh tree! we've had the same christmas tree for 19 years

Our family never uses artificial trees, we always get them new. But I do see the appeal of the ones that can be re-used, even if nowadays i'm not the one who does the picking for it.
