I am re-booting my first RP I ever created here on PC. It's about Reapers and Demons and stuff with a little bit of a twist, so if you are into that be sure to check it out. I am not going to give away too much, mainly because then I will pretty much be revealing the plot behind the RP. Hopefully it gets accepted.

On a side note: Pokemon Revelations is still accepting SUs. If you like Pokemon with a little bit of a fantasy element spilled in, then I promise you will like it.

Yeah it is. At least I think I know which one you are talking about lol.

But yeah you can sign up with the same character it's cool. You may need to make a few changes here and there because I changed up some stuff.
 
So i was thinking... Why hasnt started an rp based on greek mythology and what not? It seems like the perfect set up for an rp. (There might already be so if there is feel free to correct me)

Apollo ;) That would be cool, it could be based around intrigues and relationships and mystery rather than battle, maybe?

Actually there was one RP by SylveonStar. Yeah, totally not a snob.

I'd like that idea quite a lot. Maybe a mission kind of set up?

Well, The Odyssey is a Greek epic, and there was Pokemon Odyssey, but I'm thinking your talking RPs with people not Pokemon right?

It could be interesting; characters could be "heroes" and the GMs could control the Gods and how they influence the story.
 
I definitely like the idea of a roleplay based on Greek Mythology, human, Pokemon, or otherwise.

anyways do yall think that a greek mythology rp would work better as a sand box or a more story based one?

also would you prefer an rp in a wild west setting or a WW2 Germany setting?
 
hello everyone! I thought I'd introduce myself here~

I haven't RPed in years but I used to be a very dedicated RPer... over the years though, I couldn't really find people to RP with so I gradually stopped and just went to writing my own stories.

RPing can be very fun though! I especially love making my characters have some sort of relation to dragons.

are there are any Fantasy-type roleplays around I could possibly join in? warning though, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to RPing but I think I'd be okay since I do write quite often. C:

I'd love to be a part of some RP, so yeah!! just let me know if you have a Fantasy-themed RP i could possibly join into~ feel free to leave a post on my page or something, I'll be checking back here too!

Hey Yukiyo, nice to have you here.

If you are looking for fantasy-esque RPs I suggest maybe checking Adventurers in Training. It's pretty much a dungeons and Dragons RP if you are into that kind of stuff.

There's also my own RP, Pokemon Revelations, but I doubt it's what you are looking for, even though it does have that 'fantasy' element.

ahh I don't really know much about dungeons and dragons ;~; aren't dragons usually the bad guys in those? haha, though I suppose I could be different c:

what is your RP about? ^^ do you RP as a Pokemon, a trainer, or both? what is the story so far?

If you want to know more about a particular RP that is already up, it's probably easier if you find the OOC and IC threads for it and read yourself :3 The OOC threads can be found in te Roleplay Lounge.

and yeah, he showed me his OOC thread and I went and found the IC thread as well. as I said before, I haven't RPed in quite some time so I had no idea where to look for this stuff, or what to look for xD he was kind enough to show me around!

looking forward to more great discussion here, I'll be on the lookout for other Fantasy RPs mentioned here in this thread c: (you could say I'm a little shy I guess, since I'd rather have someone mention or invite me to an RP instead of randomly join one lol - I'd like to RP with a person/people I already kinda know)
 
Don't worry, people here are as helpful as they come :) And do check out Adventurers in Training, as mentioned earlier. That sounds like it should be right up your sleeve.

Someone called the fantasy geek? xD Story based is definitely better. Greek mythology heavily talks about the gods' caprices and lots of philosophy and the supernatural, so a story with great lore would better entail such a theme. Sandbox isn't that bad on the other hand, but most Greek mythology stuff are about wars, quests, etc. //Avid fantasy bibliophile if you couldn't already tell.

As for the second question, I've not much to add but a WW2 setting seems pretty interesting to me. //History student here XD

@Yukiyo Kayume - Hello and welcome! I wouldn't worry much about not having background information. I mean, it helps, but most RPs here are designed so that people can still join in and play without knowing anything beforehand. But certainly, if you're looking for a fantasy RP, AiT would fit the bill. I'll send a PM your way. Eheh, just so it's clear, GM of Adventurers in Training here :P

First of all, welcome! I do hope you're able to find RPs here that you enjoy~

On that note, there are a couple fantasy RPs about, though the only one I've really taken time to look at is Adventurers in Training. Also, I will be making my own fantasy within the next couple of weeks, and it just so happens that it centers around humans who have bonds with dragons.
 
How do you join an rp and how do they exactly work
