Welcome one and all to the weekly Gym Leader World Tournament! These are weekly polls that pits Gym Leaders one and against each other to see will come out on top! So, in these polls, feel free to tell us about your favourite gym leader in each region that's represented! Now, if you'd like to see what this is all about, feel free to read the rules below:

- Every week, there will be a poll attached, with different Gym Leaders of each region. Each thread will have different Gym Leaders from different regions companies like Kanto, Unova, Hoenn, and so on.
- You are not restricted to one vote - you can vote as many Gym Leader favourites as you like!
- In the event of a tie at the end of the week, I, Dragon will have the tie-breaking vote, just to have a clear winner!
- Frequent voters will receive an emblem featuring the winning video game at the end!
- Feel free to explain who you voted for, and why on this thread!

So, as said, this week will focus on the Hoenn Gym Leaders, so choose your favourite gym leaders from Hoenn listed, and the winner will be posted on Tuesday, April 21st! Just a note, you don't have to base your answer from the games. You can do so through the anime and manga as well!

Fantina is elegant with her four hairnets, sparkling ballroom gown and long gloves + choker. She fits the madame of the haunted mansion motif to a tee. I love her overconfidence, animated expression, her team, French-inspired background, as well as her role as a contest performer. Too bad we didn't have Chandelure back in gen 4...would have been perfect given her aesthetic.

She's pretty much the best ever, and she knows it.

I voted for Crasher Wake, Gardenia and Volkner. They are some of my favorite gymleaders over all, from all games. Their designs are cool, and they have cool personalities.

never cared much for any of these, but candice and volkner always stood out to me the most.

 

[Pendraflare]

Crasher Wake is my favorite, because he's the dude that has it all in singing, Pokémon and song. His Pokémon can be rather difficult in Platinum if proper coverage for them isn't present. And he makes small appearances in HGSS and B2W2, as well.

I like Maylene because she is an awesome trainer and fighter who uses Lucario which is one of my favorites. Volkner for the sake of shipping him with Jasmine and I accidentally voted for Roark NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! instead of Byron because I confuse those two sometimes.

Whoops, just missed the cutoff for this poll, but it doesn't look like my votes would've changed the outcome anyway.

Out of all the Sinnoh Gym Leaders, my favorites would have to be Gardenia and Crasher Wake. I really like Gardenia because she was the first Gym Leader I'd had difficulty with in YEARS (dating all the way back to Clair in Pokemon Gold), and I always enjoy a tough gym battle, rather than sweeping through them like any other trainer. And I really like Crasher Wake's pro wrestler persona, but felt that he would've been more at home in Maylene's Platinum Gym, but I still enjoyed him nonetheless.

Argh no. If I had voted, Volkner would have been tied with Candice.

I like Volkner because of what happened before the player fought him. He was depressed, reluctant to battle. It showed a greater depth to Gym Leaders, showed how they could get bored battling trainers every day. Plus, it was really cool how he was friends with Flint, showing that the Elite Four actually do know and care about the Gym Leaders of their region.
