1. Set the save type to Flash 64k
2. After that re-set it back to 128k
3. Reset the ROM in File option.

And for your directions, I think it could be shorter.

It should be: If your Savetype is 64k, switch it to 128k.
Or, if your Savetype is 128k, switch it to 64k.

Then, reset.
Easy, isn't it?

Actually what you say isn't quite true... I play it just fine under 64 but not under 128 because the game is a white screen then. anyway I guess I'm just a freak...

yes. both save states and normal in-game saves.
