    Everybody celebrates holidays.
If you don't, just find a new family or something idk.

What is your favorite holiday and what makes it so special to you?
Also, are there any specific memories of a holiday that makes you all fuzzy and junk on the inside? It doesn't have to be limited to your favorite holiday.

    I guess birthdays count too.

    Happy friday the 13th! :D

    #feels like he's winning! :D

anyway my favorite holiday is my birthday! it's a holiday for me and it's the only day I can truly do whatever it is I want to do! :D (plus I share the same birthday as the sexy Janet Jackson! WOOT)

Ughh I hate holidays because of the family part that comes with them. Favorite would have to be Thanksgiving though just because of the food. One year I had a thanksgiving with just myself and my mom because my dad and brother were away and we decided to just not invite anyone since we both hate them all. Was the most enjoyable holiday I've ever had.

today is the 20th anniversary of the north american release of The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the Past, one of the best SNES games of all time

I only celebrate birthdays of myself or close friends, Thanksgiving, and Christmas nowadays since there's always free food in the end and for the most part those are a few days when things are looking to be peaceful which is something I can't value high enough nowadays.

My favorite holidays are Christmas and, if it counts, my birthday. I get gifts from the people who appreciate me during those days.

My favorite holiday...surprisingly it's not Christmas or my birthday. It's Thanksgiving. My favorite time of the year where you can travel to see your family, and wrestle your turkey at 6 am just so you can prepare it and bake it in the oven. I like the fact that the whole family is there to help with the dinner, and in the end, we get together, eat, and watch movies together. :)

Christmas! I go bat **** insane over Christmas, I'm almost insufferable. I love the decorations, the presents, the grandeur and majesty of the whole thing. I love putting up the tree and the other things around the house, I love opening presents on Christmas morning, I love going to the mall and seeing everybody acting all cheery on the surface but having this hilarious undercurrent of stress and tension they think they're hiding... I just love that there's this huge, pretty carnival lead-up and then on the day, it's just one day where everything stops. There's no excessive noise, it's just like the world stops still.

Then the next day is after-Christmas sales, so it's just as loud and chaotic as Christmas Eve was and you'd never know that that day of reprieve ever existed.

Oh, I love the Christmas carols too. Everybody hates them but I love them. I love the whole shabang.

As for a special memory, I think it would have been Christmas in either 1998 or 1999 (probably '99) when I got my Nintendo 64. That was so goddamn exciting I can't even. Then after that we went to the neighbours' house for our neighbourhood breakfast that we did every year back then (God, I wish we still had those... I get sad thinking about how that's all over now) and saw that my best friend had gotten one too! We spent nearly the whole day playing Pokemon Snap. It was amazing. Probably one of the best days of my life, looking back on it. Not one worry in the world. Just Pokemon Snap.

Ugh now I'm depressed. Thanks a lot Cello >:[

Christmas. I just love the whole atmosphere of it. It's also when we get together with family. Presents are also a plus. :) Although the last few years I've been a bit short of Christmas cheer; I think it's because the day of Christmas was my only day off in the week and I had no one to celebrate it with.

Thanksgiving is also a good one. I love aaaaaaall the food.

Fond memories? Uh, one year I got Gold for Christmas. That should win automatically, hahaha. ;)

Sounds like my kind of Thanksgiving.

Halloween, though, is the best holiday. No family commitments; no big dinners you have to make, clean up, and stress over; no having to buy cards and presents for people you don't like and/or don't know what they like; no reminders that everyone is pushing you to stop being single. It's a holiday for having fun and dressing up, which is the best part.

My favourite holiday is probably Easter. At least for now. It signifies that the end of the school year is upon us.

Second favourite is probably my own birthday. It's always very bittersweet. I'm especially looking forward to it this year so that I can step into my twenties, and it always amazes me how quickly one year goes by even though every year I think "wow, a whole 365 days til this happens again." But it's a day dedicated to me and I really don't think that calls for celebration lol.

Aye, Christmas yo. Mainly because I ain't even a Christian, so I don't have to formally celebrate it, but I still get the christmas tree and the presents. Plus it's a free holiday for me anyways. :D

Halloween. It gives me an excuse to cosplay without being at an anime convention, and it's devoid of all that sappy family-togetherness crap that plagues other holidays. It's all about fun and dressing up and scaring little kids stiff and getting free candy from people other than those who drive around in suspicious vans :P

Second best holiday would be my birthday. Followed by Black Friday since I use both as an excuse to go to the mall xD

Christmas. Mainly 'cause of the food. I like my birthday, but normally the food is kinda meh or we'll go out for a meal or something. With Christmas, on the other hand, our family can guarantee a nice platter to celebrate... despite the fact that none of us actually care about the fundamental principles of the holiday (Jesus and all that).

Australia Day (January 26) cos I love celebrating my culture with pride!

My fave bit of Australia Day is the Triple J Hottest 100, a poll voted by listeners of Triple J (an Australian youth radio station owned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

Yeah, I love those Australian-specific holidays.

I'm not sure if it's a holiday, but I love the last day of school. We get to dress up fancy and stay up late -- because it's the beginning of summer -- and I get to impress my crush. Tee hee.

What is your favorite holiday and what makes it so special to you?

I would say... Christmas. Favourite season, favorite weather and relaxing.

Also, are there any specific memories of a holiday that makes you all fuzzy and junk on the inside? It doesn't have to be limited to your favorite holiday.

Nope. Haha, it sounds bad but nope I don't really have any memories as such.
