2nd Gen Have you beaten Red?

H e wasn't that hard. Sure, he was a welcome change in toughness compared to the rest, but he went down to my Feraligatr easily.

anyway, yes I did beat him. Lv.100 Snorlax, thank you. Incredbily difficult to stop it, but took a lifetime to train.
 
My Red Gyarados Lv70 and Lugia Lv63 Owned his Team . Yes Lv81 Pikachu was so Easy O.O

Most people only train their starter pokemon when they first play pokemon. I beat red (who i thought was Ash) with a lvl 80 feraligatr. I was just begining to Train my other pokemon when my idiot friend saved over my data D:
 
I definitely beat him, I just can't remember the exact team. I know I had an Espeon and a Typhlosion, but my mind is blank in regards to what the other four Pokémon were.
 
Since Curselax was broken back then here was my team
Snorlax(lvl 50 just caught it)
Earthquake
Rest
Body slam
Curse
 
I beat Red with this Team:
70 Kazam/Golem; Used his explosion to murder his Espeon...ah, young stupidity.Can't live without it!

Lv 68 Croco/Feraligatr; Wiped out Charizard in one surf and a Head Butt.

Lv 78 Flashy/Raichu; Murdered his Blastoise with a Thunder.

Lv 67 Goldie/Ho-oh; Killed Venasaur with Fire Blast and Solar Beamed a little boy named Espeon.

Lv 45 Birdie(I named him that)/Pidgeot; Poor bird didn't stand a chance against Snorlax. :'(

Lv 70 China/Hitmonchan; Killed his Snorlax with 6 Mach Punches.

It looks like I was a very racist Vietnamese Kid in my younger days. xD
 
Of course. I enjoyed every bit of that battle too.

Even though I don't remember it. I do recall having only one pkmn left. I believe it was a raichu. In the yellow too. (maybe it was something else, but I do remember it being in the yellow zone.)

I was sad when he went away forever. I didn't see the guy as "Red" but "Goku", my previous profile on my red version which sits around to this day....XD
 
All of my pokemon were right around level 65 when I beat him.

Feraligatr for Charizard
Machamp for Snorlax
Ho-Oh for Venusaur
Tyranitar for Espeon and Pikachu
Raikou for Blastoise

The only pokemon I didn't actually use against him was Mew, oddly enough.
 
I beat him with these, all exactly at level sixty.

Guardian/Marowak murdered pikachu, even after it used charm. I believe that he fainted espeon as well.
Floral/Meganium and Knight/Dragonite were able to take out snorlax together. Knight also got rid of charizard. (Dragon vs. Dragon ftw!)
Valiant/Arcanine torched Venusaur.
Royal/Snorlax pwned Blastoise.
Too bad Sage/Slowbro didn't get to murdelate nothin'.
 
Yeah! I did. And the funny thig is, it was with Lvl 50 PKMN. That was a really long match with him though! Almost 15 minutes!
 
The last time I got upto there in a Gen II game, I remember my highest Level Pokémon being about 58. I rushed through the game and was fairly lacklustre with training.

I so want to replace the battery in my Crystal version...
 
Destoryed him with a level 67 typhlosion ond a level 80 Cloyster pickachu died in a single flamethrower i tihkn the pickachu was for the younger kids to think they were battling ash. Blue was the actual challenge i had.
 
never got to him on gold and almost beat him on crystal with my 88 Feraligatr and 70 pikachu
 
I beat him on Gold and Silver (I don't remember if I did on Crystal or not). The very first time I fought him, he was really hard (mainly because I had only trained my Feraligatr).
It's been so long ago, that I barely remember. I know that my team was between level 50 and 70. I also know that I had my starter and Lugia/Ho-Oh. As for the rest of my team, I have no idea.
