The cool evening air was all but still as the residents of Hinamizawa and the Yamainu hidden amongst them all stood at the edge of the river, letting small clumps of cotton fall from their outstretched hands into the running water.

This was the cotton-drifting festival of Hinamizawa, Watanagashi. A sacred time routed in the dark, cloudy history of the village that was marred by the mysterious deaths of "Oyashiro-sama's curse".

The villagers hoped and prayed that this year would see and end to the horrors of festivals past but, whether by fate or by design, this year someone else was sure to die.

It had begun.​

Rules

  5. If you are DEAD you are DEAD. Don't haunt the thread with your posts.
  6. However, if you die (regardless of how) you will be allowed one dead post so long as it contains no game-related information.
  7. For executions, if there is a tie, a coin-toss will determine the tie-breaking vote.
  8. Don't post during the night phase.
  9. Night actions should be sent to me via PM.
  10. Abstaining during the day phase is not allowed and voting for yourself will result in your suicide.

When They Cry
Day One

Oishi sat in the front of his car, the villager behind him listening intently to his questioning but otherwise remaining silent. They were horrified by what they heard, they weren't surprised though.
"It's the curse" they finally spoke, to which Oishi shook his head
"Do you really believe that some sort of supernatural being is behind this?"
"No human would do it…"
"Humans can do some pretty despicable things."


Not far away, in the small school building, the students of Hinamizawa sat in shock, many in tears, as their teacher tried to remain strong as she informed them of the terrible news. That morning, a villager had discovered the body of Maebera Keiichi lying in a pool of blood at the bottom of a phone booth. The police had ruled it a suicide, it seeming as though the poor guy had scratched out his own throat with his nails, but nobody really believed the charismatic young man had killed himself.

Mion stood up shaking and left the room. Her Keiichi taken away? Someone was going to pay.

Milotic is dead. They were Maebera Keiichi.​

I don't see much to go off of in the phase post as far as hints go

but it's also nearly midnight so I'll probably go over it again tomorrow and post my thoughts
