ORAS has the exp share. Keep it on and just steamroll the game like a breeze. If not then it is as challenging as the originals, but still easy

Too easy, even for Pokémon standards. Almost as easy as XY.

Granted I had a few OP Pokémon like a Drought Ninetales that took no effort to find with the DexNav, and Mega Mawile. Should have used a weaker team probably, I purposely ditched my starter and its mega to make things more difficult, and wanted to pick a "weak" Mega instead, but Mawile was still insane. Despite its inferior stats compared to other megas, Huge Power and that typing was overkill.

Between the Exp. share and affection granting experience boosts and O powers also potentially giving you more Exp...
... it's only somewhat challenging if you don't use them. But there's no such thing as a difficult Pokemon game anyway.

... I do always seem to get freeze haxed by Glacia regardless lol.

I only did one playthrough of it when it came out, but I recall it being easy as sin. Probably because of the EXP share, you don't have to grind at all to get through things, so you move a lot quicker. Plus, once you get Mega evolutions, you just have a win button for every fight.

Went with easiest game in the series. Usually thinks of X/Y as that. Finds some tough non-gym trainers in X/Y, though. (Some early ones: Kadabra trainer before Camphier, Furfrou double battle near Parfum Palace, Axew trainer a little before Ambrette Town, Battle Girl Hedvig in Reflection Cave.)

What trainers are strong in ORAS? Norman and Steven? Still Flannery, maybe? Could have missed some good ones, to be fair, due to being way overleveled. Played with the Experience Share in check in X/Y. Never tried it in ORAS.

It's too easy. Absolutely the easiest in the series.

While correct that Pokemon is never too difficult, I shouldn't be able to ignore key mechanics such as the type chart and still win gym battles.

I think Emerald had the right balance. If I went into an important battle with an unbalanced team, I was going to feel it.

Not difficult.

I had my team's levels match the E4. Granted, I was using dexnav a bunch, so I got some exp that way... but also, I literally was cycling through an entire box's worth of Pokemon throughout the game. When I'm using ~30 Pokemon and end up matching the levels, while not doing any specific grinding (just engaging with game mechanics) ... the game is too easy.
