How would you family react if they saw your online self

I guess this is basically a comparison to your online self vs irl self, but should a family member(say a parent) stumble upon PC, your Twitter, etc and find out stuff they did not know about you, how would they react? Would you be able to face them in the same way?

It sucks your family is so close minded that they can't accept that. 2017 and people are still like this :<

I think my family would be OK with the gay part. I just think some of the things that I post on Twitter and even PC for that matter would definitely leave them cringing and things would never be the same.

I've never understood parents that kick their children out just because they don't support their choices anyways. It's nice to see your parents are not that extreme.

hmmm. i have them on fb and they don't say much. but if they were to see my account here or on twitter or tumblr, they'd probably ask a lot of questions like why i'm so open online and chatty and stuff like that.

i've been told my "internet persona" is unhealthily different from my real life self.

I don't really act any differently, so for the most part I doubt they'd be surprised by anything.

Very badly. My parents are fairly serious people and the internet for me is a form of escapism. I feel much more freedom when online and that probably makes it easier for me to get carried away with things tbh.

My mom would probably wonder where my sanity has gone and say that I shouldn't swear so much online. XD My dad would careless since he doesn't see it as an issue. He's more understanding and less "parental" than my mom. I have them added on Facebook, but I don't really use it a whole lot... so they don't see my internet side.

They would find out i'm not straight for starters, lol. They would probably be creeped out by all the weird crap I post online, but they probably wouldn't care too much because they love me. Honestly, I think they've probably seen my twitter somehow by now and they've never said anything so I guess they don't really care!
