I adore my italic green!

I did donate for the blogging perks, but I rarely make blogs anymore xD

I don't regret donating at all however. If it helps maintain the server going then I'll gladly continue to donate when I have a job.

I keep telling myself that someday I'll donate. I'd be amazed if I ever do. Even though the perks would be sweet. I'm not on much these days so if I did donate it'd actually be because I want to help more than getting use out of the perks.

I donated $10 on my old account just because I wanted to do something a bit nice for PC. And then I had a bit more money and was told there was a supporter forum and I was curious about it so I dropped another... $15 or $20 in idk. And I donated for like three or four other people between $15-$25 each because I had money and wanted to do nice things for PC and figured they may as well enjoy the perks. A little gift from me to PC and my buddies. And of course I put $15 in on this account partially because it'd been a while since I donated anything and partially because I wanted to stalk the supporter forum again. And I keep intending to put more money into PC but I always remember when I'm on the bus or something like wth.

Anyway. I donate to PC because PC is worth my money. That's about it.

Eh, I'm fine as I am.
There are perks, of course, to being a supporter. Honestly though if I were to donate it would be to support PC, not because I think of being made a supporter as a "level-up".

I would definetly donate to PC, i love the forums a lot and the perks are just a addition for my support towards PC...

Dipu once made a topic like this months back, it died but I wanted to bring it back up.

So, they were once PPN purple, then beautiful blue and now a gorgeous green. It's PC's own Supporters, aka those peeps with the italic usernames you see floating around who show their support by helping out PC's server.

For those of you who are supporters, what made you want to donate to PC? If you are supporter but didn't donate then how did you become supporter? For those who donated, do you regret donating (insert amount of $ here) to PC?

And if you're not supporter yet, would you ever consider donating? Do you think supporters are like a special "level-up" or some act of kindness?

In reality i never considered donating before, partly because my participation in the forums is very low. I have been a member of PokeCommunity for a very long time. Probably even farthest than 2004.

I remember when this site was created. I remember the initial administrator was called "Nil" and he was a Spanish guy. I don't know if anyone here remember this, or anyone is as old as me. People change nicknames very much and i don't remember my friends. I do remember that Arcanine was one of the original members i think.

Well probably i would donate if i pick somehow any kind of activity. Still though, i may say that donating everything from $5-10... or more is quite a size able amount for us Venezuelans. We can't get US Dollars as we have Currency Exchange Control and our people earn as little as $70 monthly.

As we are only allowed a yearly quota of $400 per year for internet transactions, i better not.

I donated to the site simply because I had a few bucks to spare and I wanted the italic username. Oh, and to help the forum out as well.

If I could figure out how to work with those online monetary sites, like PayPal, I'd love to donate around 20$ or so. PC just seems to be a great place to be.

I won my supportership by participating in the first egg hunt we had in 2011. I wanted it so that if I ever quit staff, I'll still be able to use 150x150 avatars. The prize was tier 5, but I took tier 3 and gave the remaining 2 to Penatrait, since I knew he wanted to be a supporter. I could care less about the color and perks. My mod format overrides the supporter format and aside from the avatar size, the perks aren't a big deal to me.

I already had all the supporter perks before donating due to being staff, so the only reason I donated was to try and get closer to a better server. The site at the time was crashing 24/7 and it was making PC hell to use so any extra money seemed like gold dust, but after Audy's changes that's not such an issue any more. I'd still happily donate again, but I'm not in the best situation to right now haha.

I had some extra money lying around in my PayPal account, and I figured if I wasn't going to use it, I might as well put it to good use by helping out PC a little bit. I honestly didn't care too much about the perks other than the larger avatar size, but if there was any site that I was going to donate to, I figured it might as well be one that I go on and enjoy every single day.

I'm not a supporter yet, but hopefully down the line I can pitch in a few dollars. Not even so much for the perks or the italics, but because for the short time I've been here I can already tell this is a wonderful forum with wonderful people and I'm personally glad to have found a place where I can meet other Pokefanatics like myself, and to support something like that so it can continue to exist and so others can use it as well would just make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I donated for the lovely blue (at the time) formatted name. Back then I didn't have a stable form of income so sparing even a few dollars was tough for me as I'm quite stingy with what I do have. If I had more money to burn I'd definitely donate at least 50$ to help keep this amazing forum running!

I donated for the perks, then I came second in an easter egg hunt which boosted my supporter status.

It was at a time when I had the money to spare, and since I had spent a year or so on this website it was worth the donation. :)
