"I Don't Get the Competitive Scene"

What parts of the Pokemon games do you just not get/aren't as into?

I'm not really into the Shiny Hunting thing, but I commend people who have the patience and time to do that. I do not. I understand Shiny Pokemon are very important to some people, and I like them, too, but I just don't have that kind of energy when I'd rather just get a shiny Pokemon completely randomly from RNG.

Competitive scene, though I do like to breed Pokémon with good IVs. I just....am not as interested in how to form a team and what mons complement others best. I only like the breeding aspect of it, and know very little about the actual battling. :<

I never got into the whole double/triple/rotation/multi/inverse/etc battle thing. I get why the gimmick is there but it just never really caught my interest - in game or otherwise.

I can never get behind the breeding aspect of the games. Absolute shit tonne of time spent just...............................trying and hoping your manipulation has worked in giving you the Ability, moves and, most probably, shiny forever and ever until you get it, like I just couldn't ever feel like the "reward" of getting said Pokémon was even worth the time and mindless stuff to get it.

Ironic coming from a Disgaea player I know, but then similar aspects in Disgaea annoy me lul.

I used to be in the competitive scene, but not so much anymore because competitive Pokemon became a bit too complex for me to follow, so... u.u

That's kind of me as well. I don't mind doing Pokemon breeding, but not so much the team building, let alone the battling itself. It's just too competitive, which makes the game less fun in my opinion.

pretty much competitive battle got boring for me
I used to play some online battles, almost everyone used the same 20 Pokemon (from over 700 to pick from) so it go boring battling same Pokemon over and over and over
