I sort-of still like it. I never like the anime but the games are still fun to me. After playing through FireRed about 6 times its starting to get repetitive.

I was about 7 when Pokemon came to NZ so I guess I've grown up with it.

  • I'm 19 and still enjoy the games. I was 9 when I got my Red version, that's why I got my Game Boy Color. The thing that caught my interest was that it was something I hadn't seen before. Who would have thought a mouse could electrocute, or a horse could shoot a flamethrower?! I have two games from every generation, and I don't see myself growing out of this obsession anytime soon. I don't care how old I am when the final regions are discovered, the train would have to reach the end of the line before I get tired of it. ;)

  • It doesnt matter what age you are. Thats why it is rated E for Everyone. Im not trying to be mean but im just saying in my opinion that age doesnt matter in this situation.

  • If you ask me, 4Kids are the reason people are ashamed to like Pokémon. If they hadn't murdered the anime (or even not made it at all, as even the Japanese version was a bit childish), no one would have a problem. I'm 18 and play Pokémon, and none of my friends care. If I said I enjoyed the anime (which by the way I don't), they'd laugh. The American show was geared for children, but the games came first, and you can't put an age limit on a game of that quality. Each new generation is highly rated by EGM and the like, and do children run those magazines? Didn't think so. It's the same thing that ruined Yu-Gi-Oh! You don't see people ridiculed for playing Magic, because it's not a cartoon. And anyone whose seen the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! anime knows that that wasn't even a kids' show to begin with. I'm not ashamed of playing Pokemon, because I can give a hundred reasons why it's good, and all the haters can come up with is "it's for kids", which, of course, is simply not the case. As long as they keep making these things, I'll keep playing them.

  • I am 22 and have loved Pokémon since I was about 14. I also do not see myself stopping loving it anytime soon! In fact, I probably like it more now- I mean I have been buying all the Dvds recently, and have been getting back into the cards!

  • I turned 18 this autumn and still haven't stopped liking Pokemon. ;D I've liked Pokemon ever since I was 9 years old, but my fanhood was at its biggest when I was 10. There has been many years in the middle when I just occasionally played the games, but nothing more. Now I've become a bigger fan once again, drawing Pokemon, watching the anime for fun and getting hooked to the manga. When I was small, I always though I would stop liking pokemon when I grew up (it just felt weird to imagine an adult cheering for Pikachu in front of a tv XD) but now I know there's always something to like in pokemon~

  • Currently, I am 15 and I still love the games. The anime keeps getting worse o.0. Also, I will probably play when I turn 18 becuase, well, it's quite a intresting game. When I was 12 I stopped playing but I started up again when I was 14. ANd now that I've gotten my diamond back and have a Scizor, I pretty much am going to carry pokemon in my bag of life. xP Hope to see you guys around.

  • Some don't believe that @ 49 I'm watching Pokemon. I began in 2002 out of boredom, the hospital didn't have cable at the time, and have been hooked ever since.

I watched the moon landings as a kid.

You're the coolest person here, really.

Anyway, I absolutely love PokeSpecial, it's one of the best manga series I've ever read. All of you have to read it.

I also enjoy the games to some degree, but I drift to and fro between releases.

Pokemon means a lot to me, and so it's something that I've stuck with through out the years. I was 9 when I first became fan, now I'm 21 and I'm still into it. For a few months I've been a bit out of it, buuut I go through my phases, definately. I'm a huge anime fan, so Pokemon can't have my constant attention, but from 2003-2007 for some reason it picked up full-swing and I was totally obessesed. xD Good times.

I can't see myself totally losing interest in Pokemon, ever. At least not until it actually comes to an end.. but even after that I have a feeling I'll still pick up the ol' games once in a while, or watch a few classic episodes. Why not?

  • I still like pokemon, definitely. Heck, I write pokemon fanfiction. That pretty much says it all.

What I do not like is the anime and most of the spin-off games...they make the series fail for me.
