Chit-Chat: In the midnight hour, she cries because she's sad and alone and just a little pathetic.

tbh I've met only a few great people who were smart enough to save up for their retirement and enjoy it. Now they're fully independent of their families and pensions. I salute those people :D

One of them is a millionaire through stocks.

That reminds me of a man I knew by the name of Paul Brant. In his youth he ventured into all sorts of investments and used a lot of his money that he already made to make more. He was in charge of Parks and Recreation for the State of West Virginia, and played the stock market. He was also a botanist by trade and when he became paralyzed from the neck down as he got older, my mother took care of him and my sister and I helped manage his garden. He was a very eccentric man, and after he died his son Geoffrey and daughter Amy got a 50/50 split of his massive fortune. He was a good man, too. A man of principle. :)

In these next two years I'm going to learn the basics of playing to stock market just feel like I can do it haha.

Yesterday was about computer talk, today is about stock investments?

After having an out-of-bounds experience from taking out my headphones from listening to the Sonic 2 OST, where the sounds of the neighbor's chainsaw and the ambiance of the house blended together into what sounded like a radio for a brief moment, I've been listening to Pepper by the Butthole Surfers, since that came to mind when I heard those distorted sounds.

They were all in love with dyin', they were drinking from a fountain
That was pourin' like an avalanche comin' down the mountain

I don't mind the sun sometimes, the images it shows
I can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes
Cinnamon and sugary and softly spoken lies
You never know just how you look through other people's eyes

Since high interest accounts are non-existent nowadays (I think you still get well under 1% at my bank) I just have a checking account. And I'm not about to start getting into the stock market and risk losing my ass if things go south.

So I don't get any type of interest or any money that I don't earn myself, lmao.

I prefer letting my bank sit in a high interest account

Like Morkula said, the highest you can usually get is really not that high, and that won't even be enough to cope with inflation (depending where you're from).

So let's say you're a random American and you decide to invest in a bank with a 2% interest rate annually. Great, now you can sit back, relax, and watch your money grow, right? Wrong. The inflation rate in America is 3.33%. This means you not only not earn anything, but you actually lose 1.33% of your purchasing power.

So basically, banks are a really bad idea for long-term investment. They're there for transactions and emergency funds, but definitely not for retirement plans.

the stock market is way too risky for my tastes

Trading is super risky, although that's what my old millionaire friend did. I do stocks too, except I do it differently. Instead of buying and selling every day for four hours straight, I do it once every other month for 30 minutes. It works much better than trading.

That's good, be sure to do it right though :D

Isn't this terrifyingly adorable;

Then crawl up your neck and exterminate the living crap out of you.

I can't with this sun coming up at 7AM thing. Too many windows in my room so I wake up at 7:30 no matter when I went to sleep. On the plus side though, it's like one of those alarms that's meant to gradually wake you up - I wake up early but always refreshed.

I'm not a morning person at all lol. Unless it's for work, I very rarely (if ever) wake up before 10-11am, sun shining or otherwise.
