I thought everyone hated the Hoenn region - I'm surpised everyone is so excited for it.
If I didn't know from experience on PC that everyone holds Hoenn on a pedestal, I'd be just as surprised. Honestly, I am a little surprised to see just how farspread the Hoenn love is, though... every website I frequent is filled with people who've been waiting excitedly for this announcement for years. And then there's me, who almost dropped the Pokémon series after Gen III because I didn't like any of the games, despite trying Ruby, Emerald and FireRed.

Does this mean I get to start begging for Diamond/Pearl remakes now?? CHERRIM FOR 4DS PLEASE.

Wait, wait, wait. Hoenn remakes were announced? What? /so lost

also just embarrassed myself by singing backstreet boys on stage at college, yasssss

There's Slowpoke, and then there's Slowking haha!

But yeah, it was announced earlier today that they are releasing AlphaSapphire and OmegaRuby! :)

Also, just sayin', I loved Sinnoh.

You can't just say that without providing a video. I demand it at once! *claps hands three times*

One of my friends actually did record us (three other friends of mine and me) singing it. If she puts it up, sure thing. :P

But damn it, I seriously need to buy a 3DS sometime soon. >>

Or 2DS if you don't need 3D. I've heard its cheaper too.

But not portable because you can't fold it. It's not worth getting in my opinion - plus there are so many good games for 3DS that once someone has one, even if it's just for one game, I doubt they'll not buy all the other great games that are out for it.

That is true; I like folding and sticking my DS in my pocket too much. It depends on your needs then I guess.

Yeah the 2DS isn't marketed to us - it's marketed to young, young children. Kids too young to use the 3D and too young to need portability and young enough that they're not as careful with electronics, which is why there's no hinge. I can't see any good reason to get the 2DS unless the 60 dollar difference is really going to make or break you.

The 2DS is also a no-sale for me because it doesn't fold. I mean, I carry my consoles in my purse anyway so it's not like space is really an issue, but I don't wanna keep something that bulky on my person whether there's a space issue or not. It's also kind of an ugly design. :/

I usually prefer the 3DS over the 2DS, but that's because I can easily fold it and store it while I don't like the "flat" look of the 2DS, which is targeted more towards children who may have issues with the 3DS.

whoa whoa whoa, Hoenn's my favorite region! I logged so many hours into Emerald, the most of any Pokemon game actually. whatever Black/White was (Unova?) was my least favorite.

I personally never thought that the Hoenn region was bad. I actually loved the game. It's just that a lot of people whom I've talked to have said that they think that's when the Pokemon series started to go south. Which, I'd have to personally disagree with because I thought the addition of the Battle Frontier was quite tippy top if you ask me.

I wonder what is is about RSE that made people think it had gone downhill... I will say that nostalgia keeps RBY and GSC feeling amazing in my mind, and DPPt is when I started learning about EV's and what not, so RSE kinda fell through the cracks, but I still remember it fondly and have been waiting for this day for, like, ever.

My reaction to this, facial expression and vocal stress and all:

"I think they're excited."

I agree so much with this, minus the purse part.

It looks like a toddler's toy in it's design. Like "baby's first tablet", but dual screened
