In what order did you go on your journey?

I was just thinking about the order of the region in the different games I played through and thought it would be interesting to see which order you guys visited each region in. Here's the order of the regions I visited and the game(s) I visited them in:

    1. Hoenn (Ruby)
    2. Kanto (FireRed)
    3. Sinnoh (Diamond)
    4. Alola (Sun)
    5. Hoenn (Omega Ruby)
    6. Kalos (X)
    7. Kanto (Yellow)
    8. Johto (Gold/Silver) *plan to play on VC when they come out

I've never been to Unova but plan to some day.

If you've visited a region again after a while, still put it in because it would be cool to see who revisited past regions they've been to. I think it would be cool to see the unique journeys all of us have taken over the years.

    hmmm i think

    1. Kanto (LeafGreen)
    2. Hoenn (Emerald)
    3. Sinnoh (Diamond)
    4. Johto (HeartGold)
    --- multi year gap ---
    5. Kalos (X)
    6. Unova (B)
    7. Unova (B2)
    8. Kanto (Yellow)
    9. Alola (Sun)

kinda imperfect because i've replayed some of the games (read: FRLG) a lot so this is a v approximate ordering.
and if you haven't visited Unova you need to, its the best :]

I played them in order as they came out.

These are the first games I played of each series.

    Kanto (Blue)
    Johto (Silver)
    Hoenn (sapphire)
    Kanto (Leaf Green)
    Sinnoh (Pearl)
    Unova (White)
    Unova (White 2)
    Kalos (X)
    Alola (Sun)

As I got into Pokemon years after it came out, the order I played them is off except for the newer games.

    1. Kanto (Blue)
    2. Sinnoh (Platinum)
    3. Unova (White)
    4. Johto (SoulSilver)
    5. Unova again (White 2)
    6. Hoenn (Sapphire)
    7. Kalos (X)
    8. Hoenn again (AS)
    9. Alola (Moon)

I started with Pokémon in the fourth gen with Diamond and SoulSilver, then jumped back to the beginning and moved on from there. I skipped Kalos, but I do plan to go there sometime.

    Sinnoh - Johto - Kanto - Hoenn - Unova - Alola

It took me three years to get through Crystal lol the rest I completed in a matter of weeks or even days.

    Johto (Crystal)
    Kanto (FRLG)
    Hoenn (Emerald)
    Sinnoh (Diamond)
    Unova (BW, B2W2)
    Alola (Moon)
    Hoenn again (AS)
    Kalos (X, ongoing)

With the exceptions of the first two gens(which I started late and had to wait until Christmas for respectively), I've started every gen on day one. These are the games I chose.

    1-Blue Version
    2-Silver Version
    3-Ruby Version
    4-Diamond Version
5-White Version (Japanese), Black Version (English)
    6-X Version
    7-Sun Version

I originally wanted Sapphire for Gen 3, but since I got preference over my brother when I chose Silver, I let him choose first the next time.

    It's Johto - Kanto - Hoenn - Sinnoh - Unova - Alola:

    1. Silver
    2. LeafGreen
    3. Emerald
    4. Blue
    5. Diamond
    6. SoulSilver
    7. Black
      --- gap ---
    8. Black 2
      --- gap ---
    9. Moon

I have yet to visit Kalos. I was planning to play the games in order but I didn't wanna miss out on Gen VII too much so I picked up Moon right now and am planning to play X later sometime.

I played them in order so I'm not going to count remakes, but I've played them all

    Blue - Kanto
    Silver - Johto
    Sapphire - Hoenn
    Diamond - Sinnoh
    White - Unova
    X - Kalos
    Moon - Alola

    1. Yellow
    2. Crystal
    3. Sapphire
    4. Black2
    5. Y
    6. Omega Ruby
    7. X
    8. Moon

I played Omega Ruby after Y and spent a lot more time in it then I did in Sapphire. Sapphire came out when I was losing interest in Pokemon. Granted I've mostly been shiny hunting, haven't completed the game. With Moon I'm still on the second island, haven't played it in months.

    I played through
    Hoenn (Sapphire)
    Kanto (Firered, then Leafgreen)
Sinnoh (Diamond, then Pearl, then Platinum)
    Johto (SoulSilver)
    Unova (White, then Black)
    Unova 1.5 (White 2, then Black 2)
    Kalos (Y, then X)
Hoenn 1.5 (Alpha Sapphire, then Omega Ruby)
    Alola (Sun, then Moon)

Although, if I'm being honest, I've never actually beaten Johto. It's one of my greatest shames as a Pokémon player.

    1. Johto (Crystal)
    2. Hoenn (RSE, like a lot of times)
    3. Sinnoh (Diamond, again, lots of times)
    4. Unova (Black)
    5. Hoenn (ORAS)
    6. Kalos (X)
    7. Alola (Sun)
    8. Unova (Black 2)

    Kalos (X)
    Hoenn (oras demo)
    Hoenn (alpha sapphire)
    Alola (sm demo)
    Alola (moon)
    Sinnoh (platinum)

And that's the order I visited the regions in. Don't get me wrong: I'm a new player but I'm a knowledgable one!

Well seeing as I'm 27 and I grew up with Pokémon I visited them in chronological order, I've played literally every main series game there is, in this order.

    Red
    Blue
    Yellow
    Gold
    Silver
    Crystal
    Ruby
    Sapphire
    Emerald
    FireRed
    LeafGreen
    Diamond
    Pearl
    Platinum
    HeartGold
    SoulSilver
    Black
    White
    Black 2
    White 2
    X
    Y
    Omega Ruby
    Alpha Sapphire
    Sun
    Moon
