In general, I like them. I have no problem with small bugs being on me, as long as I know they aren't poisonous/bitey. Most of the time when I find a bug in my house, I take it outside, since my family has 5 cats and so its chances of surviving in here are pretty slim. I don't appreciate walking through a big spider web, or having bigger spiders and other bugs on me, however, and I do the typical 'there's-a-bug-on-me' dance when this happens, and feel totally crawly for the next hour or so. XD
Thanks to being a big fan of the Ender's Game book series where one of the main alien species were ant-like ones called the 'Formics', ever since reading those many years ago I've been fascinated with ants. They've been around for millions of years with very little changes, which seems to show that they pretty much perfectly fill their niche in nature. There's even ones who keep other bugs (aphids) as farm animals, not eating them but instead protecting them and eating the liquid they secrete. Also, there's ones who farm a certain type of fungus for food. They manage to do all of those things with just the tiniest amount of brain matter, which to me shows just how great a society can be if its people work together cohesively. From a philosophical perspective, there seems to be a lot of wisdom in ant societies, IMO.
