itt do your irl friends know anything about what you do online

yeah ive told my friends about this pokemon forum, they all just shrug or are like ok whats the big deal. and then i realize oh ya whats the big deal. and also ive introduced my irl friend to my online gaming friends and now he's a part of the circle just like anyone else, and other friends also know about that online gaming circle. overall yea my irl friends know i spend a lot of time online and what i do as well.
 
Don't really have any friends irl but my family knows I post on forums since 2007 so it's not something I hide even if I did have friends.
 
surprisingly, yeah! my friends do the same sort of stuff as me on the internet - primarily using social media - and although they know i frequent forums, they don't really use them with me! but i'm open about everything i do so i suppose it's only natural they'd know lol
 
Some do, but I also know what they get up to on the internet on a day-to-day basis.

Someone who thinks all sites that aren't Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, et al are clearly evil and where people get up to illicit things, obviously.
 
Not that I know of.. I don't release my online activities to anyone. The only way an irl friend found me on PC is my signature, which then they'd go to my profile and see my about me which would clearly give it away. My irl friends know my rap name, even people I don't know personally in my area know my rap name. So unless they haven't seen my signature, they've yet to know my online info. They don't know about any other forums either.
 
Not everything I do, but most of us go on the same social networking sites like twitter and tumblr so they know how much of a garbage can I am.
 
I only have two friends I really keep track of irl, and they know, I wouldn't hide anything from them as I trust them.
 
I would say my closest friends know that I am on this forum and what I do on it. I feel very comfortable letting them know as I don't see this as something to hide.
 
Nope.
At least I don't think so.
And in some cases, if they ever knew I'd skip town completely.
 
I sometimes tell people that I used to be a moderator on a Pokémon forum if Pokémon ever comes up in conversation.
 
No for several reasons:

- I don't want anybody knowing I still play Pokemon
- My online 'identity' is aways off from my real life 'identity' considering I'm out on the Internet but closeted in real life; I don't want people figuring out I'm trans etc. through a Pokemon forum
- Nobody talks about online activities in real life and I sure am not starting a conversation about them
 
no no no. i don't doubt that there are people on this site that I know but i'm not going to go shouting it to the world.
