Kingdom Hearts Thread

This one definitely caught me by surprise. Usually Square-Enix doesn't localize their remakes.

Well it been in Japan for about over a Year. So, I knew they was gonna release it, but I doubt they never gonna release Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix here cause its too obvious they arent cause of they didnt release the first Final Mix.

what made you so sure they were going to release it? i mean we know FM+ is never coming so i just assumed this wasnt going to make it either.
 
Ehh. i dont want it so much now that i read it has the same battle system as COM.

Wait... you knew Square was going to release re:CoM outside of Japan when it's been sitting over there for over a year now (Well, over a year and a half)? O_o
I don't really understand that... I mean games don't take a year to translate, getting the VAs and such. Most of the time if it's been that long hope for getting the game is lost.
 
Think about it tho. ReCoM isnt really a game that is just for Japan. It wouldnt be that fair if they get it and we dont, and its in all japanese, Final Mix is in English Except for the text and subtitles, Final Mix is the NA Version, giving the chance for Japan gamers to play it in English. ReCoM is kinda obvious it would come out, But i just knew we arent gonna get FM ot FM+ just ReCoM
 
That still doesn't sound right. I mean like I said, after so long most people give up hope on a game. After a year even the "Well... this could happen" dies out.

And as for KH2:FM... Sure it's the NA ver... with extra stuff that I wish was in the NA ver. The boss fights, extra content... and then the extra vids, like the one with Roxas and Axel on the clocktower... so sad... ;.;
 
The way I see things is the Final Mix games are just made to taunt us with fantastic bonus content that we'll have to risk irreversible damage to our PS2s to actually get. Since consoles have region lock, there's always got to be some kind of mod done.

But back on the topic of Re:CoM, all I really wanted was the 3D graphics. And the voice acting. GBA CoM only had like 4 scenes that were supposed to have voice acting, but you can't hear the voices. Unless my game just had a bug...

If you've got an old fat PS2, all you have to do is take off the disc tray cover, which you can put back on if you want to, and use the slider. Doesn't void your warranty and you can play Japanese games. That's what I got. :>

Aside from battle sounds, there was no voice acting in the original COM.

ohh you got the slider, the disk top works so much easier=D.

At first i think Square didnt want to release it in NA, but they probably changed their minds to make more of a profit. But im sure they didnt want to release it at first.

Either that, or they saw how much people wanted it, and decided to release it before they ended up like Nintendo of America. I could see Re:CoM (And Final Mix, to an extent.) being in the Mother 3 situation.
 
I got the Japanese on already, loved the Org.13 battles and the crowns. Might as well get the English copy aswell, I didn't understand a word those guys were saying.
 
I just hope it's released in Europe otherwise I won't get it. :(

Why would they waste thier time, its already on 1 system called the GBA, and this is the PS2 Remake. They already have it made for the Playstation 2 in Japan, and in 2 months it will be here in North America. They wont spend all this money, and do all this other stuff to be on more different consoles.

A little off-topic but do you think Square will expand the franchise into Microsoft? Most people either have a 360 or a PS3 and Square will probably lose a lot of money when the next game of the mainstream series is released.

Prolly not. they might move back to Nintendo. Alot of People also got Wii's and DS. They made very little games for Microsoft. and They made a huge amounts for the Nintendo systems. so. Prolly not. and I cant see Kingdom Hearts on anything else besides Playstation or Nintendo.
 
Square-Enix hasn't released any of their flagship titles on Nintendo in years. All Nintendo gets is spinoffs and remakes. :| I just don't see them putting KH3 on it. They ARE warming up to 360, though. I really wouldn't be all that surprised to se KH3 on it. Or on both 360 and PS3. I don't see them putting it on Wii, nor would I even WANT it on the Wii.

Kingdom Hearts isnt made for the 360 at all. More for Playstation, Square-Enix would be REALLY stupid if the didnt put it on Playstation.
 
I bet people said the same thing about Final Fantasy back when it jumped ship to Playstation from Nintendo's consoles. People WERE saying the same thing about Final Fantasy up until the other month when XIII was announced for 360. I'm just saying that Square-Enix has been showing a lot of love to Microsoft lately, so don't discount KH3 on the 360. :x

(I will admit I'd rather see it on PS3 but I'd take 360 over Wii anyday.)
