    Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu

    [PokeCommunity.com] Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu

    Synopsis

Based on Iwaaki Hitoshi's science-fiction horror manga by the same name.

The 17-year-old Izumi Shinichi lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like aliens called Parasytes invade Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasytes attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he sleeps, but fails since he is wearing headphones, and enters his body by burrowing into his arm instead, taking over his right hand and is named Migi.

Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from travelling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. As the duo encounter other Parasytes, they capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. This gives them an edge in battling other Parasytes who frequently attack the pair upon realization that Shinichi's human brain is still intact. Shinichi feels compelled to fight other Parasytes, who devour humans as food, while enlisting Migi's help.

Even if it sucks, at least it will look good thanks to Madhouse.

The manga is one of my favourites. Imagine if they made an actually good adaptation *gasp* there's potential but I won't get my hopes up.

I kinda knew the story/concept a little before the anime(I had heard that it was a good manga). Then I watched the PV and Madhouse is gonna do it, so I'm pretty hyped. I even have it on my to read on my android app(sadly it will have to wait since I'm reading a 100-something manga atm T_T)

It's a pretty easy read tbh, nothing complex.

The anime style is completely different from the manga, and the protag, they've basically completely redesigned his look and personality. It's not necessarily a bad thing though. Madhouse are okay but their works are so extensive it stuff ranges from the great to the terrible. We can only wait and see!

Plenty of Madhouse shows look uninspired and drab.

Looking at the preview this actually seems decent, hope it is consistent, if I don't drop it after an ep anyway.

I've read the manga of this. Im just hoping this won't be another one of those ruined adaptations. I'll just watch and make sure.

Amazing opening and great first episode. This, Shigatsu wa kimi no Uso, Log Horizon 2 and F/SN will probably end up being my AOTS(es). <3

The animation was great but I found the story a little bit silly. I mean, you won't amaze me with ugly stuff, if this has no plot I will lose interest.

The first two episode have been great so far. The MC is really interesting, might as well read the manga. I simply can't wait for all the episodes.

I haven't seen episode 2 yet but apparently they actually did the cock scene.

Now I have. It is like this role was made for her.

^ image isn't showing up, laptrap.

Either way, this remains interesting. This week was mostly uneventful so I haven't got much to say except for the fact that I've liked the design of the female character who shows up at the end since the time I saw her in the cover picture of the anime. So I'm really curious to see what kind of role she ends up playing.

too bad we don't get to see the crazy alien-parasitic sex at the end

I remember reading the manga years ago in HS...with a physical copy. O_O

Anyway, the adaptation is looking fun, but it's more of a light-hearted series than people think tbh LOL. It's quite a dark comedy in a sense. I still remember that moment...
