Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu

I enjoy the light hearted comedy mixed with an actual seriousness vibe, I don't know the story from the manga or if the anime is going to follow it but I am expecting the main character to go a little more badass as it goes on and I have this weird feeling that his love interest is hiding something.

TBH I don't even remember the protagonist having a love interest. What I remember was how that girl (and guy) shown in the end...

Spoiler:

Also a fat guy who's half human, half alien like the protagonist.

Anyway, the adaptation is looking fun, but it's more of a light-hearted series than people think tbh LOL. It's quite a dark comedy in a sense. I still remember that moment...

This.

I thought this was supposed to be part of the Horror genre. I find it quite entertaining but not really "terrific". More like just bizarre, or as you said, a dark comedy.

Even though this is not going the way I expected I enjoyed episode 2. No other comments so far.

I'm really enjoying this so far. I like how it juggles light and dark elements so perfectly. <3; The way that dude got sliced up in episode 2 was delicious as well. XD;

Edit:
Episode 3

My lady finally enters the scene. Damn did that classmate of Izumi hit the nail on the head when she said their sensei is a looker. <3;
Dat public "we tried having sex". XD; The music stood out this episode to me for some reason. It really works well during the tense sections of the episode. I'd probably download the OST.

And the opening being as good as it is, I can't bring myself to skip it. Like always. =3

Remember how I said I probably wouldn't pick this up? Well, I watched all three episodes that were out. And then I read all of the manga. Oops.

I like all of the changes, mostly to character design, that were done in the anime. I watched the first episode and I couldn't stop. I was just so drawn to the concept, like what would I do if my right hand suddenly turned into an alien?? Well, if Migi really is that smart, then I'm sure I'd be getting high scores on math tests, that's for sure. I really can't do math, but I'm sure Migi would be able to. :P

I'm glad this is going to be 24 episodes, 12 episodes is just way too fast for the ending to make any sense.

Murano still better :P

It's supposed to be complete adaptation iirc so... they wouldn't be able to fit all.

I really, really feel like reading the manga as well haha. But I'm stopping myself. Because the adaptation has been really enjoyable so far. I don't really wanna spoil the fun - I prefer anime anyway as long as it isn't atrocious like One Piece's (in which case I stick to manga).

I've managed to get my friends into the series. They're all in love with the concept as well. Although the opinions on the opening is kinda divided - I didn't expect that since I personally LOVED the opening haha.

I much prefer watching to reading anyway, unless the adaptation doesn't do the original any justice, so I don't think my enjoyment of the series is going to go down any. I only read it because I couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen and I accidentally stumbled upon some spoilers so I decided, "well, that's it, now I just have to read everything."

ahaha, I can relate. If you've already been spoiled, well, what the heck. XD;

Still, y dis thread so ded?! the last two episodes were gr8! ;____;

This series is great and so underrated. I look forward to every week's episode to see how both will develop. Not only has Shinichi developed emotionally, but has changed physically because of Migi's workings and his mom's fate. Shinichi looks strained and suffering, but he's also gaining superhuman senses and enhancements. As their bond strengthens, Shinichi gradually becomes more ruthless and inhuman while Migi becomes more human.

These last couple of episodes were so damn great. The pain that Shinji felt because of his loss felt so real. It didn't seem forced or fake(compared to other anime) and now we're getting even more character development. As far as I know Shinji didn't wear glasses in the manga. I like how they made it in the anime. For now at least the series(in my opinion) is the best this season.

Oh by the way we will be getting 2 episodes because the live action movie will be coming out.

I liked them pretty well, yes. As already commented on by you both, the direction was pretty great - scenes were well done so I could actually feel for them.

Parasyte's been a great ride and I'm sure it'll continue being so. Has consistently been THE series that has made it difficult for me to wait week after week for a good while now. And that OST, man. I need it.

im going to revive this thread a bit because parasyte is one of my favourite horror anime i've ever watched and i really enjoy how intense the plot can get at times, and i absolutely love the opening c:

i haven't completely caught up to it yet, but i read the manga and i think that making the anime more 'modern' definitely has helped with the adaptation. 12 episodes really isn't enough for an anime this good, and i'm glad it has 24 episodes :)

I really love kind of Anime like this, Super human powers, Terror, Fantasy, Thrill. I have been a fan of this anime since the time I searched the net, I never watched a single episode, But the reviews, Pics, And Videos I've checked referring this anime helped me to acknowledge this anime as one of the best, And I am really thinking of watching it !

You should definitely check this ;) Objectively one of the best this cour.
And... I'm not sure if it's good to label anime good without watching it =D

Haha ! xD really, But still it impressed me ! I have heard reviews about it, And I've checked the trailer too !

Just caught up and it has been a pretty fun ride. That ''man has become toxic to the earth'' line makes me think it might end up going down the pan though. Will just have to hope that isn't the case.
