Chit-Chat: "L'art pour l'art" - DCC

My first tag since summer. It needs more work and kinda sucks, what would you guys suggest:

I'm probably not the biggest person to ask because I'm not all that great at tags but maybe something in the front and behind mawile (such as a c4d or something idk) to bring out the depth and make it less flat? Also maybe mess with colors a bit and more mawile to either the left or right to follow Rule of Thirds.

Though really Gavin or Dero would be able to suggest more.

I was finally updating the first post of my gallery so it's more up-to-date and it's pretty amazing going through your pictures and seeing how much they have changed, your highlight pieces, etc.
 
Hello all. I didn't see an "introduction" thread and I figured I'd just post here and introduce myself!

I wouldn't call myself an "artist" by any means. I'm more of a hobbyist and I really enjoy pixel art. I've not necessarily got the highest aspirations for making pixel art, but its fun so whatever haha.

Anyways. Hello. Just call me Dean.
 
Oh no, I am absolutely horrible at art. Once I tried to give a portrait of myself and it sucked big time. In fact, none of my other friends can draw. You see, I am really interested in these pieces of artwork here. They are really amazing, and I keep checking back to see some more drawings. Yes, you can like art even if you can't draw.

Hey Dean! Welcome to A&D. :) I'm Strawberry, aka Alexial, and the moderator of this humble little section. Pixel art is such fun. I, like you, just started as a pixel hobbyist, with my primary talents being dedicated to traditional art. However, at some point along the road, I really fell in love with it. It's always great having something that you can apply to your day; something fun and as easy as you want it to be.

Anyway! It's nice meeting you Dean. I'm currently running a fakemon contest, maybe you'd like to give that a shot to play around a little more with your pixeling/drawing skills?

I second/third/fourth/fifth all of the above. Also that Meowstic in the first picture really makes me happy for some reason. It just seems like it has a huge personality and I love that in art. Please keep drawing~~~!

also, i think janna reads/watches magi? Anyone else here does? Its character designs are amazing. Easily the coolest character transformations after they undergo full djinn equip. ;______; also character art is so detailed in those that it'd take me hours do draw a single panel
