but my attention span is bad so i'll probably end up back on chess.com or youtube

trying to get into the habit of actually paying attention to my chess games. i would probably be in the 800's if I did.

This is a really poor idea and I don't advise it. Sometimes if I tabbed out a while i go back and think "wait am i white or black".

also @roni that's a much better idea and it's how i should play. it's not uncommon for me to come back and lose my queen to a bishop. I was trying to make more of an effort today so i'm closing in on 650

I know how to move the pieces in chess, but I can't actually PLAY. i'm more of a checkers man.

Chess has ruined my ability to play checkers.

I tried to go back and I just can't do it for some reason. the board feels so cramped.

I used to play Dragon Draughts on my copy of Spyro: Season of Flame for HOURS on GBA, which was literally just checkers.
