Did someone leave the popcorn for me too? :)
Did someone leave the popcorn for me too? :)
Update: ughhhhhhhhhhhh. And since I'm here, I was reminded I mentioned applying for a job last week to some people who frequent this thread (was it this thread I mentioned it in? I don't even remember at this point) and uhhh, I got hired a couple nights ago! Shifts start on Sunday for me so I'm waking up earlier and totally not staying up late to watch a live Love Live performance... so thank you for your encouragement or well wishes on that! Things worked out.~
Update: ughhhhhhhhhhhh.
The live was awesome and I got to watch it with 4 of my other friends which I wasn't expecting. We got super loud and excited and it was such a fun time. There was actually an earthquake after the second song and we were all wondering what was happening since only one of us knew Japanese well enough to understand the announcement that was happening. Everyone was safe and the show continued normally but it was crazy seeing the news about a 7.2 earthquake. That's not even the first time an earthquake has happened during a LL live, and they just danced through it like nothing. It was crazy but so cool to see.
After that things got kinda crazy and I don't think I was around here for long yesterday since I got 10 hours of sleep (after the previous night where I got 3 after the live) in preparation for my shift. It went well and it wasn't too bad, but I just felt so exhausted and overwhelmed when I finished. How do people constantly have such long shifts all the time? Apparently my next one is on Wednesday and I'm both glad I have some breathing room and dreading when it happens cause of how long it'll be.
Hope y'all are doing well though, thought I'd just give an update since there wasn't anything particular in the backlog I wanted to respond to.
Sounds like you all had a really good time! :)
I did, the live was so much fun since I got to see it with friends, it really added to the experience. We got to have a lot of discussion between us we would have missed out on if we just watched it separately, and we even played a guessing game about who'd be onstage next singing which song. It was really cool whenever they pointed to the cameras the live viewing was filmed on, and thanked us during the live. There was this part at the end where if the chat cheered enough, they'd come back onstage for an encore, and we got so hyped.Glad to hear that you had a great time at the LL concert with your friends. An earthquake! Wow. That must of been intense. Glad to hear that no one was injured.
There's no easy fix for the tiredness and exhaustion unfortunately, it's just something to get used to :(
How were you during the shift itself? Was it as you expected?
That's lame that you kinda just have to get used to it, but I guess it's just cause I'm new as well. The shift was pretty much just "sort these cards, check online orders, put them in the envelopes, mark them down" but you take eight hours to learn how to do it systematically and where everything is kept.Glad your first shift went well. You'll get use to the hours the more you do it. That overwhelmingness will also subside the more you do it so, hang in there.
Night Nator, take care, sleep well! I'll take care of that win for you.~
