In my opinion, the episodes 7, 8 and 9 were bad. All of what happened in the previous ones seemingly having been for nothing ; one director for the 7, another one for the 8 who did it all differently, the director from the 7 back for the 9 who then undid everything the one from the 8 had done, ... The list is long.

But I can really recommend you try the 1 to 6! The 1 to 3 are the first ones chronologically, and they do have great scenes and special effects! Then you have the in-between, Rogue One, a good one too. With that scene...


And then, the 4 to 6, the oldest ones in the real world, with great actors!
 
I LOVE Episode 4, it's one of, if not my favorite movies! 5 is alright, 6 has a few really good moments, and my favorite character in the whole series, (with a bit of bloat here and there) 1 is... Alright. 2 is the weakest in the original 6 for me, and 3 is just full of memes. (but I love it anyway lol)
The only things I've seen from 'Disney's Star Wars' are 7, 8, and 'Solo'... I haven't had the strength of mind to watch 9 yet... 7 was SUPER forgettable to me, save two moments that I actually managed to like, 8 I both loved and hated completely and at the same time, and 'Solo' was... One of the worst movies I've ever seen...
 
I have watched the original ones and the last trilogy (the new ones). I liked episode 5 and also 6. I didn't like episodes 7-8-9. Since the beginning of episode 7, I felt something was wrong somehow. Not saying they aren't good movies per se, but I really don't think they should have continued the series. Episode 6 was a perfect finale, they really didn't need to carry it on, in my opinion. Also, the story was basically the same stuff over and over. Sometimes, keeping some series alive might just end up in ruining them.

I have seen a couple of episodes, but I don't remember much, I felt these movies were too slow...

I've seen that scene on Youtube, it gave me chills!
