Is this my excuse to mention once again that I love rain? If you don't want it to be a rainy week, I'd gladly take all the rain for myself!

I'm gonna derail the conversation topic but I've actually been falling asleep to a video of rain sounds from inside a car and it's been lovely. The video has a really cute name ("I'll wake you up when I arrive, you can sleep comfortably") and it reminds me of being in the car when I was young and my parents driving us home along the highway at night. I love cities at night or in the rain or cold, so the aesthetic and the sounds and the warm memories are incredibly comforting to me. Rain is just really nice for me.

The video also isn't too long as well, I appreciate lots of people posting things like rain or thunderstorm sounds to fall asleep to, but they're all like 10 hours long, and if I wake up in the middle of the night and want help going back to sleep, I'm not gonna be asleep for 10 more hours. I love falling asleep to sounds but hate hearing them when I wake up, it makes me uncomfortable.

Yesssss.... I totally resonate with your feelings. ٩(⊙‿⊙)۶

I love the sound of rain, especially city rain at night (with the sound of traffic and all the noises in between) - there is something so soothing about it. The video you mention sounds perfect, and I get what you're saying - it feels kind of awkward hearing pouring rain spattering on cement when you wake up... or even depressing. (ㆆ _ ㆆ)

Anyway, rain has that magical way of creating an atmosphere that brings back memories and invokes a nostalgic feeling.

Same here, we had a phantom fall early in the month where the temperature went down for a few days before shooting right back up; but it seems to be properly cooling down now. I do like the sound of rain (although not being in it), but I generally prefer to fall asleep to a video or just in silence. The relaxing sound compilations don't do much for me.
