Last One to Post Wins! v4

Hopefully I still have a Moon Ball for it... used the last one from my Scarlet game on a shiny Gligar that I evolved into Gliscor :woop:

I had a very weird and specific dream today.

I for some reason changed my username to "ZombieGhost" on a website that was kinda like a fusion of Discord and Twitch (or any other streaming platform) and was very green. I then decided to enter a stream one of my friends on that dream was having (who is a famous YouTuber I watch) with a couple of other friends, so I joined in and for whatever reason my camera was activated and I quickly went to turn it off after accidentally face revealing to around 1 million people on the internet. And then I woke up in fear.
Also the people in the green Twitch-Discord-whatever website were live-streaming their reaction to an announcement of a gaming tournament between a professional gamer and Billie Eilish.

Thanks, brain, I really needed that.

The only raid events I've done were to catch several of the starters in apriballs and the Walking Wake/Iron Leaves thing. I also did Palkia/Dialga for some reason...
I don't find them very fun tbh. The vast majority of them require a specific Pokemon just to be able to beat them. Which is just annoying. Just let me face the 7 star Greninja with a Skitty and still win game! Yes I know Skitty isn't in SV.

Wait Shiny Pokémons do exist beside the red Gyarados in Johto?!
I've never caught any Shiny Pokémon in an official game... I think I caught one Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Insurgence or Zeta though.

If you played Crystal, the odd egg apparently had a 50% chance of shiny (I've never been that lucky).

I've never played Crystal, only Silver :( (And HeartGold lol)

At least with Tera raids, if you beat the Pokémon you can catch them- I remember with Gigantamax raids in Pokémon Shield somehow managing to defeat the Gigantamax Pokémon and throwing a Poké Ball... only for the Pokémon to break free and run off. That was extremely annoying!!!

I recently played through Crystal and used the Pokemon that hatched from that egg. It was a shiny Smoochum. I think that was also the only time I got a shiny from that egg. ^^"

I tried resetting a couple times once in the Crystal VC, but after 3 attempts just moved on lol

Wait really?
I've done dozens of raids in Shield, and even more DA runs, and never seen anything bust out even once =O

Edit: Looked it up on Serebii:
If you play Solo without going online, for any standard Max Raid Battle or Gigantamax Raid Battle away from the Special Events will have guaranteed capture. However, if you go online or play with other players locally this changes.

When you join other people's raid battles, you will have the standard rate of capture for the Pokémon based on its species, but Gigantamax changes this. If you're hosting the raid, you have a higher chance ofcatching the Gigantamax but if you're joining in, the rates are on par with Legendary Pokémon. All the Balls will have the usual effect. Status conditions are lost as soon as the Pokémon is defeated so it acts like the Pokémon at 1HP for the purposes of capture>

Explains why I never saw anything bust out and didn't even know it was a thing: I did all Max Raid battles solo, and probably didn't bother with any of the event raids.

Gmax raids and related are made tougher in Pokémon Go as well, definitely not easy to do them.

The Gmax Charizard Raid required around 30+ people to collaborate in order to get one.

During 23-25 November, Toxtricity will be there. So I am expecting that collectors will get super active to get them.

Although I will try to get either of Kyogre or Origin Palkia.

I looked through that Bulbapedia link, and it says the 50% shiny chance is only on Japanese versions. It's 14% for international versions of the game.

Which makes sense. I've played through Crystal a bunch and I've only gotten a shiny from the odd egg once. (Elekid).

Don't usually get much snow. I hope we get a lot this year.

Actually, what with me not having a paid Nintendo subscription, I was doing all of mine solo, too. I remember thinking that every Dynamax/Gigantamax raid battle had a 100% catch rate originally because all of the ones I had done in the game for the majority of the gym challenge would successfully catch the Pokémon. At some point I encountered one that broke free, and when I could do the Gigantamax raids at some point I remember sometimes the Pokémon- like a Gigantamax Machamp- would be defeated, I'd throw the ball, and they would break free and run off.

I don't think I got this in that cavern in the Crown Tundra where you could catch all the legendaries- just threw the ball after defeating them and they would be caught.

(The Staring Slowpoke hasn't played a Pokémon game since Pokémon Black sooooooooo....)
