Last One to Post Wins! v4

No idea, but I've noticed some moves like Karate Chop are absent. I miss it.

There are a lot of aspects of SV I dislike, but no more random encounters definitely isn't one of them. It's so nice to be able to walk around without having to be armed with dozens of repels to actually play the game.

Wish it had PLA's shiny sound. The amount of times I pass by tiny mons that are very hard to tell if shiny.... and then there's the mons that have a really similar shiny too.

Personally I would've liked a better selection of new mons as in that regard it's the weakest gen since gen 5 for me. Gens 6, 7 & 8 all had more new mons that I liked straight away and the mons themselves are the most important thing in the game to me. Was bound to happen sooner or later though I guess, can't always appeal to everyone.

Alolan Muk isn't unique in it's typing though =O
Poison/Dark already existed on two lines back in Gen 4.
I not meant uniqueness in that regard !

I meant that it's the dual typing with single weakness and that too, is not doubled up like in case of Swampert or Scizor. So giving more exposure to such combinations should be nice.

And I didn't liked SV in particular, as many of the Pokemon were reminding of ideas of Digimon, and the names were also not good, for me.

That's a good thing.

This is something I'm really curious about. I understand removing Pokemon to lighten the load on creating their models and updating menu sprites and things like that to create the games faster, but why were some moves removed? I can't say I notice it much while playing the newer games, but it's one of those things where they had to actively make the choice to remove them, and I'm sorta confused as to why that choice was made. It's interesting to me.

I'm fine with the new designs in SV, I think there are some good ones that really appeal to people. Stuff like Lechonk, Dachsbun, Tinkaton, Smoliv, and Maushold were all designs that seem to have appealed to people right away. I'm not super familiar with Digimon but I never really understood the idea of comparing the two. A lot of Digimon have always seemed to have more complex designs and I think even the more complicated Pokemon don't really come close.

There are still some good designs in SV. It's not like there's nothing I like in them at all. Meowscarada is tied for my favorite grass type starter for example, and Espathra is amazing too.
It's just that there's substantially less new mons that appeal to me than in gens 6-8, where I liked a good 80%+ of the new mons.
Gen 9 has too many duds like Tandemaus/Maushold and Wiglet/Wugtrio (idc what Game Freak says, these two are just Paldean Diglett/Dugtrio to me, and the ugliest version of this mon to boot =P). I did do an inventory of how many gen 9 mons I liked or was at least neutral on at one point and iirc it was like 40% of the new mons, at the time anyway, that was a while ago.

On the plus side there has still not been a game that had absolutely no new Pokemon that I liked.

I don't know how I feel about the Gen 9 Pokémon. I love the Meowscarada line, like Fuecoco and Skeledirge (not you, Crocalor. Just don't appeal to me). Don't really like Quaxly and Quaxwell, and loathe Quaquaval due to its stupid dance (like, have you seen it's battle and walking movement? Disgusting). I also like Lechonk, all the Paradoxes (even the Future ones), all three doggo lines, and many more, such as most-all of the DLC Pokémon. However, SV also revealed my least favorite Pokémon: Flamigo
It's literally just a flamingo, Game Freak!!! All you did was take away the N in its name, slapped on Fighting when it doesn't even really fight, give it a knot on its neck, and make its face weird. That's it!!! It's not even a real Pokémon, and it disgusts me. Not to mention that it's shiny hardly changes. If I ever do speed runs, I'm not using Flamigo

Spidops? I get Dachsbun, I love it too, but Spidops? Explain, plz (I'm not attacking Spidops. It's just weird to me)
I am a HUGE fan of insects and arthropods, and spiders are my number 1 favorite creatures ever. My favorite spider has always been the ogre-faced spider because of how cool there hunting methods are,
Spoiler:
And in SV they made a pokemon based off it! it immediately became my 2nd fave pokemon behind vaporeon.

That makes a lot of sense :D
I'd only really like Spidops for any competitive value. If I don't love how it looks, it's purely by competitive. It's frail, however it does have access to moves like First Impression and Sticky Web, so it's fine
I'm glad you like it!

Bug types looks good, and my favorite are Volcarona, Scizor, Centiskorch, Araquanid, Golisopod, Vikavolt and Scolipede. And naturally, none of these are from Gen-IX.

Scarlet/Violet did brought interesting terastal mechanics, but it did fell short in terms of designing the Pokemon. It's either too machinic, or bit unfinished detailing. Lokix is based on locust, but to me it seems like robotics model for that insect. Then there are wheat-clay models like Daschbun, and it reminds of an episode of Doraemon, where they were making creatures for underground world !!

Pawmot looks teddy bear, and makes me think why Ursaluna line bears normal type.

But then few are good designs as well, although that's not enough to outweigh the weird names and some different designs, for me !
