let's go to the mall ~

How often do you go shopping for items you would consider non-essential? So things like extra clothes, games, toys, etc; anything you would say you probably don't immediately need. What do you usually like to buy?

I have a love for buying cute things, usually smaller objects, primarily of Sanrio characters - mostly Cinnamoroll. I really can't pass them up when I see them sometimes, but I do a good job generally of only buying these every few months. Clothing shopping meanwhile I do a little more of on Amazon since it's so convenient lol. Maybe a few times a month?

I mainly typically go to buy things related to gaming, such as vintage PS2 discs, Gamecube controllers, and the like.
Other than that, I really only go to the mall to hit the arcade.

I LOVE SHOPPING AT THE MALL THO OMIGOSH i'll buy like anything pokemon, miku, or just anything that look cute, regardless i just love window shopping too! <3

I like the mall although our local malls are not that interesting.

I've also had interactions and have seen some weird people in our mall. (kids being rude and filming 'pranks' for social media, homeless man loudly kicking tables in the food court and harassing people).

I don't like the mall. These days they're kinda a dying breed due to internet shopping, anyway.

I try to get out to my local mall once every couple months or so, usually stopping in at the bookstore and video game stores. Though a new anime store opened up at the mall since I was last there so obviously I need to check that out the next time I go :)

I'm guilty of loving shopping, I think just getting new things is very exciting, and I grew up poor so a lot of the moments where I've made a good amount of my own money to spend on something make me really happy. I've had this dream of saving up thousands of dollars and going on a huge clothing shopping spree and while I don't honestly think I'd ever actually do it throughout my life, whenever I find and buy clothing that really fits what I'm interested in or want to wear, it feels like a step towards that. I think it's justified by just being something that makes me happy, in my mind that's worth spending my money on it. That'll usually only happen on my vacations home, which are maybe once or twice a year.

Sometimes I also just get way too ahead of myself and buy something impulsively only to regret it later, but I think it's balanced out by being good at holding back my spending most of the time and the heavy guilt I feel afterwards so it doesn't happen too often, maybe once a year, if not two years. I try to be very aware of what I'm spending on, especially in a position like I am right now where I'm not making a consistent income.

Probably more than I should. XD I can't resist things I want tbh. It's hard not to see something and want it. As far as the mall goes, we don't have any functional ones in Maine since the one in Bangor has become pretty defunct now. The only remaining mall we have is in Portland, and that's a pretty far ways away. :x

Not often at all. I don't enjoy shopping for the sake of shopping and I tend to feel guilty about spending money on non-essential things.

Lately? I stopped spending even on essentials for myself, my paycheck is too low, I spend everything giving a normal life to my family, for myself I make do with what I already have

Probably once a month, maybe twice if I have extra income laying around. I like to live a little.

I tend to shop during the week instead of the weekend because I can't stand crowds.

I'd need to go to the city for a mall so not often. Maybe once a month if at all.
I live in the countryside so for specific stuff it's often easier to just buy it online as the local store or the ones in the city often don't even have it in the first place.
