Hmm no rush on the intermission but you might as well finish Team B so that cowardly Monkey gets it's just deserts(aka karma). As for the item balls, I would have voted to purposely delay the end of Chapter 1 to pick up the loot but was told we would get it. Now you're going back on it? *Whistles*

If we adopted that, it wouldn't be that big of a deal as I see it, especially since Team A picked up all the loot thanks to Priscilla and Felix taking a detour to get the lonely item in the corner. Team B had no such issue playing Defense mode but yeah I'd be for that change. Just as long as we get to choose who gets to pick up the loot. I mean why have the Pick Up Ability if you're not going to use it *wink*

I'm also fine with the changes as long as we're given the choice of who to give items to if the one that knocked out an enemy holding items cannot hold anymore. If this was not the case for instance, Team B would have lost the items that Simisear was holding because it was the last enemy taken out. Speaking of, what were the items that Simisear dropped? They're still there on the ground, but the battle is apparently over?

Yeah I asked the same thing within the thread itself. One of the items is his Flare Wand that is essentially a Ranged Shot Fire Move, hence a Fire Type would yield STAB to it and seeing as neither myself or Waterproof have a Fire move that can attack from afar, it ought to go to one of us(voting for myself but I'll yield that decision to everyone else if need be). Anyways, we got a lot of decisions to make regarding items in our inventory. Might need to salvage or sell off a good chunk of it to make room for future loot and the fact we haven't had a reason to use what we have so far(outside of Sitrus and Leppa Berries).

We also have to start discussing the activity of everyone. Team A overall was pretty active but Sparkin(who controlled Sharps) no longer has an account and Caite(who controls Mags) was being subbed for by Tails for a good chunk of the battle. Is she going to continue or bow out? Assuming she drops out, that's 8 active players for Team A. Conversely for Team B, activity was in short supply sadly. LadyJirachu(who controls Unicorn) and Skystrike(who controls Meta) never materialized while Magicisnothing(who controls Robin), Brewmaster(who controls Waterproof) and Calzone407(who controls Alex) were here and then they weren't. I have no idea where they all are right now but they all haven't been here in weeks, if not a couple months. Finally there is Dragon(who controls Susato) that I was substituting for in the last 5-6 rounds of the battle. Can he continue or will he bow out as well? If he does, that leaves 5 active players since Syntthetix(who controls Glacier) rejoined the Group mid-battle.

All told that's 13 active players or a net reduction of 8. Whether that is small enough to go back to 1 Team again I don't know. Just something to talk about over the coming days.

Oh, that's a good point. I don't mind changing the order in which you attack around if that means the items go somewhere more convenient. And you should always be able to grab the boss's loot, that's the good stuff! ;D

Spoiler:

Before we dive into the Intermission, I have a couple of rule changes to share with you, not to confuse you guys, but to streamline the game a bit more. After all, this is only the first time this game has been run, so you might say you are kind of my lab rats in the process.

"Patch notes":
1. As I proposed earlier, the battle will now end once the end condition is met which means that any items left on the map are lost. Hopefully that will mean interesting situations will arise where you might need to give the enemy an extra turn to grab all the loot!
2. Because #1 might be harsh and we don't want to have a cluttered up mess of Item Balls on the map from the increasing number of things enemies might be carrying in the future, enemy item drops will be obtained immediately by the player that knocked them out provided there inventory space left. If not, the item will still fall on the floor.
3. Bosses become more resistant to statuses! You have been cheesing your way through these supposedly epic final challenges with Sleep Powder and Suspicious Ice Cream. From now on, bosses take only half the usual damage from Poison and Burn and wake up sooner! (They're all Early Birds. ;] ) Secretly I'm hoping you will now try harder and start using a wider array of debuffs.
4. Berries will trigger their effects immediately when the required condition is met (e.g. below 50% health), instead of at the end of the turn. Now you can at least gobble up that Sitrus Berry you're holding while you're ganged up upon!
5. I made a small alteration to the damage formula. You will barely notice the difference, but low level Pokémon will deal a little more damage, while high level Pokémon will do slightly less. Main reason is that bosses are less likely to one-shot a player now! :D
6. I made a few minor tweaks that should probably help the game balance:
- Disable now only lasts 3 turns (used to be 5). I think Code can tell everybody how annoying this was.
- Rock Tomb now has an accuracy of 90% (used to be 95%).
- Growl lasts 2 turns (used to be 1), which I hope will make the move viable even later in the game.
- Reflect and Light Screen now last 3 turns (used to be 2), because these moves are really cool yet were slightly underwhelming.
- Dragon Rage now deals damage equal to user's level (used to be a set 25). Yes, that makes it another Night Shade, but it remains useful at least! You're welcome, Nah! (:
7. A small aesthetic name change: the Wand of Zapping is now known as the Shock Wand, so that its name fits together with the other Wands. Just so you know.

Now without further ado, the Intermission...

Welcome to the intermission! Time to take a short break to rest up for the next battle. Now is the time to do any (or all) of the following things:
- Trade or (un)equip items
- Buy stuff
- Learn a new move
- Chat with the NPCs

Hmm tempting to go with Hex but we already have WooWoo for Ghost moves and Ghost doesn't work on Normal types whereas Feint Attack doesn't miss and has no such Type limitations. Therefore I'm going to forego learning Hex. As for Flame Burst, I can't skip learning a strong Fire move but what to remove? Ember is a strong possibility but I like having a move I can rely upon indefinitely and although damage from Burns has been reduced, the stat drop still applies, making Will-O-Wisp worth keeping. Fire Spin is a godly tactical move, even if I can't abuse it like in Chapter One. Finally Feint Attack allows me to Attack Fire, Rock Dragon and Water Pokemon so I guess I will forget Ember and learn Flame Burst! If anyone has reasonable objections to my choice, I'll gladly hear them. Just means I can't use Fire moves indefinitely and my new move does Splash damage so I have to pick my targets carefully to avoid Friendly Fire.

As for the rest of you with regards to moves, see spoiler:

Spoiler:

As for Evolutions:

vulpix.png
I'm not evolving yet. I want Flamethrower...

Felix: Staying as Shinx means learning Crunch(33), Scary Face(37) and Discharge(41). Doubtful you'll stay as Shinx for Wild Charge(47). Evolving into Luxio means Crunch is delayed until level 38, Scary Face(43) and Discharge(48). Might also look at what your stats will be too.

Coral: Next three moves are Rain Dance(31), Double Edge(37) and Superpower(40). If you evolve, Rain Dance is delayed until level 35, Double Edge(42) and Superpower(46). Again might want to ask about stats.

Freesia: Next three moves are Worry Seed(31), Synthesis(33) and Seed Bomb(37). Evolving would delay Worry Seed and Synthesis to 36 and 39 respectively but change Seed Bomb to Solarbeam at level 44. In other words, you'd give up opportunity for Seed Bomb if you evolve. Also might want to check out stats.

Lily: Staying as a Petilil means you'd have the opportunity to learn Helping Hand(31), and Energy Ball(35). If you go beyond level 35, there's also Entrainment(37) and Sunny Day(40). Leaf Storm is the final move you'd learn at level 46. Evolving now though would basically forego learning anything until level 46 with Petal Dance and Level 50 with Petal Blizzard. I advise foregoing it until level 40 for Sunny Day so that you can benefit from your Ability.

Meta: You'd lose STAB on Wing Attack and there's really no benefit to evolving until level 50 wherein you'd learn Iron Head. Not to mention that you'd learn Swords Dance and X-Scissor by then.

Glacier: Still have Ice moves like Ice Beam to learn so I'd forego it. Upon evolving you'd learn Dazzling Gleam so keep that in mind.

As for the new loot we got, I'll comment on that in a bit after I've had a chance to review everything. I will say that we need to sell a lot of it.

Edit*: If Coral learns Aqua Ring, Lily ought to yield the Big Root to him so that it increases his healing rate. Freesia has a Heart Scale so the Move Relearner would be viable in this case but I can't think of anyone who would really benefit from that at this time. Almost points to buying the Porygon Storage System to store it for later use. Priscilla picked up all the loot for Team A(for the most part) and hence should sell the Stardust and give the Sharp Beak item to Meta to be equipped to boost the power of his Wing Attack. Since we don't have a Rock Type Pokemon, Felix should consider selling his Hard Stone item unless someone wants to equip it to boost the damage of Gravelerock attacks or Geopebble? If someone equips it, they ought to get all the Gravelerock and Geopebble items we have. We also should sell our two HM's in Cut and Rock Smash since they're taking up space and I don't think anyone is going to learn their respective moves. Glacier has Simisear's Flare Wand and since I'm the only Fire Type in the group, I suppose it ought to go to me by default. Not sure what Simisear's pouch does but maybe we should sell it?

Oh and I almost forgot. In recognition of Lycan's BDay awhile back, the group got some items. Krakonos will be most pleased with the thing that goes boom. There's also Ice Cream and presents, although can we consolidate Ice Cream or is it maxed out at two uses per slot?

PS: Apprentice Wand set... *drools*

(I'm awaiting a response on Discord from Lycan regarding what the stats would be if I evolve, since I do want to evolve, but I also don't want my stats lowered by doing so. Also, Coral now has the moveset that I want her to have, as Rain Dance would lessen the effect of fire moves and to my knowledge no one is going to be learning Thunder anytime soon. Double-Edge and Super-Power all have consequences of using, so I'll save Aqua Tail for those moments where brute force is the best option.)

Coral will replace Defense Curl with Aqua Ring. As for Big Root, it is an item I'd like Coral to have, but it is Lily's call here to make. Regarding Shuckle, I kind of want to know more about the upcoming mission before we decide what drinks he should make. I think the odds of our enemies having status effects to give to us are greater than before, so the Mixed Drinks might not be a bad idea.

I also would be fine if we purchased the storage system since we have a bunch of items to sort through. Actually, I do wonder what items we do have...will need to check back at the end of both threads to find out.

Lutin would like to replace Bite with Crunch please! :)

Also question, will Lutin ever be able to mega evolve?

Coral will replace Rock Smash with Aqua Ring, that way she can act the Tank part once the PP is completely gone for the other moves. All the loot is on our remaining characters. For Team A, Priscilla has everything except the Geopebble that WooWoo picked up and the Rock Type item that Felix nabbed in the lower right corner. Mags had Gravelerock but Priscilla has it now(I think). Meta also has Gravelerock from Round 1 or 2 intermission so we have three Rock Type items that can take advantage of the item Felix found. For Team B, Glacier picked up Simisear's loot while Alex and Robin picked the two trees that gave us Salac and Sitrus Berries that have been distributed to me and others. If Cuddles learns Rest, WooWoo should give him his Chesto Berry so that he can use it to forego falling Asleep, making him that much better of a Tank. Alex had Luminous Moss, which has been transferred to Meta to use. If anyone wants it, now is the time to speak up. Glacier's Pecha Scarf is pretty nice though. Yields poison immunity for the win(although it doesn't prevent Poison attacks like Steel Types).

Also don't forget about Lily potentially learning Aromatherapy. That acts as a Status Healer so keep that in mind with respect to Shuckle. Oh and Rain Dance would affect Solar Beam and Synthesis too if memory serves in addition to Fire Moves. No one is learning Thunder since neither Shinx line or Pachirisu can learn it(except by TM) and no one is learning Hurricane either.

I'm with Code on what he said about learning moves. I'll skip Hex and learn Aurora Beam, replacing Powder Snow. As for evolution, I'm still thinking about it. Ice Beam would be a great move to learn at level 36, but that could take two more battles to reach, and Dazzling Gleam could be pretty nice to have after evolution... I'll look at some of the possibilities and post again when I've decided whether or not to evolve.

I look forward to the upcoming rounds! ^-^ Hopefully I'll be more active.

As for Priscilla's moveset, I'm undecided on whether I want her to learn Sweet Kiss or not. Confusing enemies may come in handy, although Priscilla is already capable of rendering her foes paralyzed, which is a little more useful. Perhaps I could eliminate Swift? Although, it is a useful move itself. Priscilla's moveset is strong as it is. I'll get back to you, Lycan! (Indecisive as always!)

Anyways, I'm hoping for a dungeon filled with either Dark/Ghost types or Bug types, but I'll be content with anything that Lycan creates! :)

Cute GIF btw. Anyways, as I noted before, it's up to you. I will say that Swift is stronger than Quick Attack and can be used from long range(up to 10 squares). That range gives it a first strike capability that in a battle is invaluable to have. The only advantage Quick Attack gives you is that it doesn't care if someone(or some obstacle) is in front of you when using it from 2 squares away from the target. Swift, on the other hand, would care since it's a Range Shot Move and any obstacle would block the attack. Plus Swift ignores Accuracy/Evasion changes, making it virtually a guaranteed hit unless the target is a Ghost Type(where it wouldn't work to begin with).

As for Sweet Kiss, it's accuracy is 80% and Confusion doesn't prevent the foe from attacking but merely makes them Attack in a random direction. Paralysis, meanwhile, halves movement and offers a chance that the attack may fail. Therefore Nuzzle is a better move overall, even if it doesn't affect Electric or Ground Type Pokemon.

Btw Lycan, next time we do this, I already know what Pokémon I'm going as. As much as I love Vulpix, I'm going as a different Pokémon species and one that you might give preferential treatment to too lol.

No worries, I'm not going to increase the levels Pokémon learn moves because of evolution. That would make it a terrible decision.

Not sure what Simisear's pouch does but maybe we should sell it?

I don't know, perhaps you could try to see what's inside. The sound it makes surely sounds interesting.

You can make stacks of up to 5 ice creams or throwing items and cram it into a single inventory slot.

Also question, will Lutin ever be able to mega evolve?

If you're looking forward to Mega-Lutin, I can definitely add a Mega Stone in the future for sure!

Everything you have collected is right here. That includes all the stuff the people who have left were carrying, which I distributed at random between whoever still had room in their inventory.

Buying the Storage System once we have the money for it should be a high priority for us right now. Never having enough space for items sucks, and we can run out of space in our personal inventories pretty quickly.

Should also see what's in the monkey's pouch.

As for moves, I will replace Sandstorm with Dragon Claw. Part of me would like to keep Sandstorm to trigger Sand Veil in an emergency, but it might not be reliable, I'll probably replace it eventually anyway, and who knows, maybe some future map will have a sandstorm. Dragon Claw's too good to pass up right now.

I vote to examine Simisear's pouch. Watch it be an item that boosts Fire Damage or something to make me think of removing one of my Get Together items -.- Anyways, what does selling the Stardust fetch the group in terms of cash?

Also I recommend we consolidate items as much as we can and give them to following characters:

Suspicious Ice Cream: Two stacks of 3 to Lily and Mozilla(or Lily and Felix... or Felix and Mozilla... I don't really care lol).
Dynamite: *Cough* Krakonos *Cough*
Rocky Helmet: Give to Coral?
Stick: One stack of 3, given to Freesia or Lily for STAB
Poison Spikes: Give to Freesia for STAB
Hard Stone: Give to WooWoo?
Gravelerock: Consolidate for two stacks of five and four. Given to WooWoo(see spoiler).
Corsola Twig: Given to Coral for STAB
Shock Wand: Given to Felix or Priscilla for STAB
Slow Wand: Consolidate into one stack of 4. Who gets it?
Flare Wand: Glacier -> Mozilla for STAB
Escape Orbs: Can they be merged?
Store Heart Scale and both HM's in Storage?

If we adopt above, here's a rough idea of what everyone would have:

Spoiler:

PS: Lycan keeps the presents.

Considering I intend to put myself on the front line again, I think the Rocky Helmet would be a good equip for me, and I can also take the Corsola Twig. And we would need to sell some items in order to be able to purchase storage, right? I thought I saw on the post that we have a money value of 750 right now.

Also, I will be taking a hit to my stats defensively, but with Aqua Ring and escape options handy, I think I can handle the loss in exchange for being able to hit harder. I will evolve Coral to an Azumarill.
