I've uploaded it on a other page, i hope you can now see it.

Yes, I can see it now. :P
Anyway, this map is just outstanding. I love how your map has loads of cliffs, the shape of them is great. The placement of everything looks nice and real life like. Also, I'd just like to say you've used the block edits well. Oh yeah, one more thing. The game play looks really narrow, which I really like. :) I'll give this a 10/10 :D

2/10. That's Pewter City with the buildings moved/added and you just close off a route and opened another.

Try making your own map from scratch next time. :3

There's not much to say about it :\ All there is is one building and a beach. There are also tile errors on the corners where the sand meets tree.

2/10

You could have at least block edited the room of the building so it is sandy. The fences are un-necessary.

You should vary the trees a bit, give the map a grass stage between the trees and sand (using small trees too) and some wild grass too, then think about adding a path into this bit.

Boring map is boring, and would be no fun to play sorry.

(Also what is wrong with just using one colour in your posts?!)

Comments: 'Course, I love the pallettes and all. But the map seems too bare to me. There's also a border error behind the northermost house. Keep in mind that trees don't tend to grow in straight lines. Also add some little trees / more flowers. Also keep in mind that ponds / lakes aren't naturally square, so I suggest giving the pond a nice shape. Also, give the path a little variation. It seems too forced.

Hope I helped,
Ansel

Cons:
Who puts grass in a town?
Town is so empty. Add flowers could you. Flowers make the town look better. But without flowers it's empty.
Green Houses look really bad. Sorry full metal :(

Pros:
Ok palletes

Questions: Why did you add grass to a town?

This map has quite a few problems, but some aren't your fault. Firstly look at the ROM-base you are using, the colours of the Gym, PokeCenter and Mart and quite dull compared to the houses which are a lot brighter, it looks a bit weird.

The bit at the bottom is a route, looks like you have tried to add it to the town because it's not much? What you would do is on the route map show the whole of the "guard building" (both the bottom entrance and the top) with the grass bit added on top, then have a transition to the town map.

Ok so now I'll rate the actual city bit XD.

1. It's too square, the only bit that isn't square is behind the gym, and I think that's because you didn't want to block edit it. The trees need to break away from the edges a bit - yes it's a city and so 'natural' shouldn't be the way to go but surely they'd want some trees around?

2. Never ever everrrr use 3 types of path in one map. Noooo. The sand path around the edge is, for the most part, unnecessary. The path in the centre of town is way too big, because your town is so spread out. Perhaps condense the town a bit, the path could be smaller and it would look better.

3. Include another type of tree, bush and flowers!

4. The town sign should be somewhere where it would be read, at the moment it's in the middle of grass, put it next to the path. (The postboxes look a bit weird with those houses btw o.O different pallettes).

O.K. first off, many people find it easier to rate a map when sprites aren't showing XD Me included, but I'll rate it anyway n__n.

Pros:
~Interesting tiles.

Cons:
~This map is very linear, you are pretty much forced down the ledges from the cave or have to surf and then go around the bushes tediously
~The mountain has lots of errors all up the edges, and could do with some variation - it's all straight lines at the moment.
~Water is also very blocky, could use with some variation.
~Tile error under the house as it has a grass border.
~Lots of one-tile-wide walkways which would be tedious so should be widened.
~Bushes are in straight lines and should never be that long anyway. Use trees if you want to make something to block the player.
~Way too much grass, make it a bit more sparse otherwise this route will be a pain for players.
~The ledge by the cave looks bare, give it some small trees, bushes, flowers etc.

Rating: 4/10

Cons:
Green Houses look really bad. Sorry full metal :(

Question: Why rate partly based on tiles and pallettes? I love the thingies too, but this is for the maps themselves.

@Darkerm's maps:
Ratings: All fairly low.
Why: You can go somewhere with your skills, that I see. But for now there's much to be done with your style of mapping. See the above posters for thoughts, they basicly covered it all up (good job guys! :D).

So... Who dares not to rate my map from two pages ago... >:/

I'm out, happy hacking everyone.

Someone mentioned how annoying the gradient is on the map which is probably what has put people off.

For one you have done some weird two-tier cave wall, which would be fine but you haven't continued it on the left and right sides of the cave, making the whole make look a bit... half done. This double layering also make the corners weird (and in |_ that kind of corner).

Tile error where the water fountains are by the looks of it.

Infact, all your big cave walls are the same tile, you haven't used corner tiles at all?

One tile routes are your enemy, and there is a lot of it in this cave.

Total rating: 1/10 technically, but 3/10 in rough appearance = 2/10. I think you should try mapping it with a single cave layer rather than using the big and small together.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for :)
I'm aware of those problems, although... They're exactly what the games uses for some caves. Sucks, I know, but I currently have a policy that says "no tile editing". And there are corners, they're just hard as crap to notice. Gradient... Yeah, I felt devilish that time X)
Double layers are real, but I'm starting to realise why people avoid them so much...

Ahwellz, thanks for the rating, people can stop making fuzzes about it now. In our minds, it's gone, OK? ;)

Map Name: Goldenrod City (Prototype)

Map Game: Fire-Red

Comments: This is based on images I have seen of the prototype layouts for the maps in the original Gold, Silver and Crystal. At first I was going to remake the maps but have it in a different region, then I came up with the idea that the geometry changes over three years because of a severe earthquake caused by Cinnibar Island's eruption, and Johto happens to be along that fault line, thus demolishing many of the cities and forcing a change in Johto.

The idea was to replace the Sevii Islands with the new region.

Ok, Ima rate and comment, the maps are very good, but I have a question, on Route 102, was it really needed to have so many sets of stairs in the map? But the whole thing with the cave near the beginning seems kinda cool. 9/10

Cool, map looks greatly sprited and all, but I think it's too crowded with towns, which doesn't look very nice. But it looks good, maybe make the land portions bigger.
