Maths :D

I'm better at sciences than at literature. So I'm pretty good at maths, fortunately, since I've chosen the scientific studies. However, even if I have no choice to do my best with them, I just HATE maths. Really.
 
I enjoy it but I'm not very good at it. I really appreciate the logical attitude it gives me on things. And I took Discrete Math once, which is basically like logic but with math, which was absolutely fascinating, although hard.
 
I love maths so much! The one bad thing about my degree was its complete absence of pretty much anything mathematical. I love that there's a definitive answer; I love that there's often a precise and logical way of achieving that answer; I love that maths is pretty much the only thing in the world that is 100% correct. I just really, really like it. It's probably why I was so good at it in school. :D
 
I despise math nowadays, can't solve algebraic equations for the life of me sadly. Me and math go together like peanut butter and sauerkraut.
 
I'd have to be somewhat good since I majored in Math... However, I'm not really that great at things like riddles or logic puzzles, but I was always good at math and science. I do like things to have concrete, yes or no answers, and I do best at solving things when there's a specific process to go through to arrive at the solution. I'm not as big a math fan as I used to be, and I blame grad school for that.
 
i'm pretty average when it comes to math, i think.
well, before, i used to think myself to be really good because i took this math class, but now that i've stopped, i'm pretty so-so now. i still do basic arithmetic problems quite fast though, but for word problems and all that, not so much.
 
I don't really mind Maths, but I'm pretty dreadful at it now.

I used to be fairly good at it, but after not having taken any Maths courses for a few years now, I've become incredibly rusty. Which didn't help considering how much Maths was required for one of the courses I had to take last year.

Well, you'll never need to use math in that way, no, but the basic skill sets that you learn from math class are things you'll always, always use. Yeah, there's the obvious stuff like easy arithmetic (making sure you have enough money on hand to buy things while standing in line at the cashier, etc.) but it also teaches a lot of problem solving. You learn how to approach problems, how to simplify/break down questions, and it generally betters your mind.

Yeah, some people will use math a lot more than others but I don't see how it's any different from, say, English class. So long as I can string a sentence together and make my intention known, why should I have to know how to write a comparative essay over? When will I ever need to know the author's true meaning in [insert book from 80 years ago] Because while we usually think of English classes as teaching mainly grammar and how to compile your thoughts in a paper, it also teaches things like critical thinking. You will probably never need to extract the themes and symbolism in a given novel in real life, but you'll use those skills when you read news articles that seem a bit off/biased and you'll use your argumentative skills when debating with someone, whether in an official capacity or just casually arguing your point. I look at math exactly the same way. Maybe you won't necessarily use the quadratic formula ever again after high school but you're sure gonna make use of the way mathematics teaches you problem solving or logic and that's why we learn it. :P
 
All I can say is that I'm pretty good with arithmetic...

Any kind of higher math, though - forget it. I can do some basic algebra and whatnot but most of the other math I've learned has long since been discarded from my brain. :( Not good with it at all (and never was all that good with stuff like, say, calculus. Ergh. I'm still not sure how I ever passed that class in high school).
 
I'm above average, or so all my tests and grades prove. For some odd reason, those courses that don't need logic, such as History, Gym obviously, and such, are the ones I suck at. My peers tell me it's only because I don't have a good memory......and they might be right.
 
I'm logical by nature, but tend to forget a # & have to write it out... & I was tutored in 4th when I was sick, runned down, by a disease... after TMNT was on. [A rock fell on my head as a kid...[rock held up fort made of blanket, from porch, landed on my head,] and a girl ran into me, full force/speed, & knocked me over in 7th grade in front of cafeteria w/ my music class; bike handle knocked into my stomach when I was about 12 not too sure & it knocked all the air out of me & I couldn't breathe.] My head hurts now.... /also my glasses are the wrong size & unflattering on me/ I didn't go 2 Dr...wrists, fingers, and shoulder blades, too. I had butterfly stitches on knees in 3rd grade...bone exposed...nurse's office & hospital for that. Thank God for school nurse... it was @ recess.] My room has bad lighting.

Mathematics was my most hated subject back in my school days, but since I have been programming, I am very logical in my thought process and normally do use maths.​

I rather like Maths tbh! It's not the most enjoyable subject, but I'm pretty good at it so I don't mind studying it. I'm much worse at creative things like Literacy and Art; I've always wanted to be able to show some kind of talent in this area (other than playing guitar) but it's so difficult! x]
 
Above average. I have stellar mental calculatory capabilities, if I'm not distracted. And I'm just normally good with numbers. On regular logic though... below average.

Terrible at maths. I can do basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, some division but numbers just confuse my head. ;; Like, I had to ask #tpc about a journalism related maths question (and since it's journalism obv it's easy maths) and... yeah, I still didn't get it after getting the answer lmao.
 
I dislike math quite a bit, but I'm not bad at it.
 
Depends. I like Calculus stuff and am quite decent at it, but I horribly suck at Algebra and hate that piece of crap with every fiber of my being. On logic in general, I'd say I'm average, tending to good.
