I'll start by saying that, in MURICA, at least in my state, we have elementary, middle, and high school. Idk how it works for other states so yeah.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?: Yes

What type of school did you go to?: Public. I'd give anything to go to a private school, the people there are probably less idiotic.

Were you required to wear a uniform?: No. Thank god too, I hate uniforms.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?: I haven't graduated yet (still have 11th and 12th grade to go!) but I maintain an A-B plus one C average.

How do you fit into the high school?: I don't. Everyone hates me.

What was your overall experience of high school?: Terrible. I wish I had dropped out and became a stripper.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?: Yes if I were in some country that uses that system, I am in Secondary 4 anyway.

What type of school did you go to?: Public, cos I have poor results and no money.

Were you required to wear a uniform?: Yes, pretty much compulsory for all students in my country (except if you go into some high horse international school)

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?: I am in my graduating year. So wish me luck.

How do you fit into the high school?: Probably yes and no. Yes because everybody knows me and loves me. But those who don't really hate me to the core.

What was your overall experience of high school?: FUNNEST TIMES OF MY LIFE.

I've attended high school. The school that I attended to was public, and they didn't require students to wear any uniform. The teachers there weren't that great, though. One of my teachers used to give out worksheets, sit on his chair, and read newspapers all day. He didn't care about what the students were doing. xD My time in high school weren't that boring, because in every class, there was at least one person that I could have conversations with.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have) - I attended both Middle School and High School (that's how the progression works here). I left in 2011 to go to a university instead otherwise I would have graduated last year.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc) - I went to a public school. Going to a private school isn't that big of a deal these days, not around where I live anyway so I chose to go to a public school where the majority of my friends were going.

Were you required to wear a uniform? - Yup, it's the law here. Personally I think it is a good thing to require uniform anyway since there's enough persecution in schools without clothes being added to the mix.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? - Throughout middle school and the beginning of high school my grands were primarily A's and B's (although I got the odd C or D... or E if I really hated the class or teacher). If I had really applied myself I probably would have done a lot better but school subjects tended to be really boring so I didn't put as much effort in as I should have.

The last semester of 2011 (when I was in year 11) my grades began to fluctuate and slump more (although I was still, somehow, getting A's in maths and politics/law. It was at the point where I was just fed up with school and wanted to move on.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc) - I guess this depends on how you look at it. I was part of a fairly large group of friends spanning across different year levels and we all got along very well and fit in well together. Most of us though were not well liked by the "in crowd" so really we were a cluster of outsiders.

There were plenty of people then that I got along well with but there were plenty who hated me as well (probably more of the latter). I made no attempt to fit in with the sheep and I didn't let walk all over me or bully me either so I made quite a few enemies. I also met some of the most amazing people I know as well though so it was worth it.

As for sporty/nerdy etc. I was definitely more on the nerdy side my last year at school I did only academic units (and usually did well) and I was far from popular. That being said I usually got a B in physical education so I guess I was far from the least sporty.

What was your overall experience of high school? - I had some pretty bad times at middle school and high school really. I wasn't well liked, there were a few incidents that I'm not particularly proud of in middle school and the administration seemed determined to run me out during my final few months at the school. This being said I often had great teachers, I met some amazing people and between the bad times I had some that were amazingly good. I guess in the long run I'm glad it was the way it was.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life? - I miss being able to see my friends every day and my life in university really isn't much better - although I prefer it I guess. I do love that my hours are more versatile and that I am able to go out more now.

Interesting Memories Not that many come to mind but I'll share some.

    1. During my final year we had a very strict and unpleasant lady running the schools library. Whilst it was terribly immature and most certainly the wrong thing to do we "may have" goose-stepped through the library in protest. A bonus is that the teachers never even punished us for it.

    2. During the first few weeks of year 10 there was still a lot of shifting in classes going on and despite having achieved an A in maths the previous year I found myself in one of the higher middle classes. I scored in the nineties percentage-wise on a couple of assessments (which were done far too early >.>) but completely screwed one. I managed to mess up the first question but every other was related too it, so I inevitably got most of them wrong also. Literally the next day after discovering I had failed this assessment, which should have been really easy, I was moved into the specialist maths class. The look on the dude next to me's face was hilarious.

    3. Possibly one of the least fortunate but still hilarious in hindsight memories I have of middle and high school is that a girl I was absolutely nuts about turned out to be a lesbian. That was an interesting couple of weeks.

    Teacher Related Memories

    1. I somehow managed to score the same teacher several times having him for three different subjects in one year, as something else the next and then as a math teacher the year after that.

    2. My specialist maths teacher, who I thought would be very strict, was actually the most laid back person I have met in my life.

    3. I had a teacher who was obsessed with lemonade and banana bread and who frequently told us hilarious anecdotes about her family.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?
Yup, graduated in May '12. (Should have graduated in '11 but I started kindergarten a year late)

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
    Public.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
    Haha, no.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
Grades were none of my concerns at the time, I was that guy that would always skip school, yell at the teachers and all that. Now that I look back on it...I was a ****ing retard of a kid in high school. I literally graduated with exactly enough credits to pass high school.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
I wouldn't consider myself popular, but I had alot of friends, I hung out with jocks, stoners and preps. I played sports too, just not for our high school team because I didn't feel like going to practice 5 times a week. I was on the football team for a different league for 2 years and a bowling team.

What was your overall experience of high school?
I liked it, was good times. Would never do it again, but was good.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
Loving the freedoms of life. Ain't ever going back to that! I've made a lot closer friends in my short time in the military than I ever have during years of schooling.

    [BMemories:[/B]
My English IV teacher during my Senior year of high school was by far the best teacher I ever had. She used to always tell us "Alright y'all can dip in my classroom, but hell if the Principal walks through that door then I didn't know nothing about it, ya hear?" She used to let us watch movies all day, and we only had like one assignment to do every 2 weeks, which we didn't even do. She would just write down that we completed it. Lol.

Me and my buddy Matt where just hanging out at our lockers talking, when our friend Allen comes up to us and starts talking. I don't remember what he was saying, but it was annoying as hell, so Matt grabbed him and told me to grab him too. We lead him into the teacher's closet and hung him on a coat rack then shut the door and forgot about him. About 20 minutes into class you just hear a big BOOM! in the closet. Allen just casually walks out of the closet and goes to his seat, not saying a word. The teacher was like "Ugh, what where you doing in the closet, Allen?" he just sat there and said "Nothing, Ma'am". Me and Matt were dying laughing in the back of the room. A few years later, Allen becomes Prom King. The end.

I'll edit this as they come to me, I have a bad memory.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?: Yes
What type of school did you go to?: Public high school
Were you required to wear a uniform?: Nope
Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?: I didn't care about grades but I did well. I got mostly A's and a couple B's. College is more important to me. Yeah I graduated.
How do you fit into the high school?: nope nope nope
What was your overall experience of high school?: nope nope nope worst thing not going back

In short, I hated the administration, I hated almost everyone there, bar like 3 people and the kids in special ed, and I hated most of the teachers, bar like 2. I don't talk to them anymore, and have much closer friendships with my college professors than that. Actually, college, I'm actually having a bit of a social life in comparison to high school, it's weird. And I found my niche, too. Took a guy who's the equivalent of a blind Shaggy from Scooby Doo, but it happened.

Did you go to high school?
    Yup.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
I went to an alternative school that was K-12 (grades were generally jointed together as Pre, K, 1/2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12) and I was taken out to a traditional High School beginning ninth grade.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
No, and other kids scoffed at the idea.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?

Far from it. I did terrible until the second semester of senior year where I had it super easy.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
This is where it gets kinda funny. I was basically the loner of all loners, as I would just go in, do my classes and such, eat lunch alone, go home and not speak to anyone other than my best friend. Everyone seemed like they wanted to know me, but I did everything in my power to prevent that.

What was your overall experience of high school?
    Saddening and suppressing.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I sorta miss living in the total ignorance of my lowest of youth at the time, but it means nothing to me anymore. Things have felt that they've gotten worse for me, but graduating High School is a totally separate entity to it.

I went to high school, but it wasn't a good time for me and I'd never go back. I didn't do very well in school because of some mental and social problems I had, but once I was out of that life-sucking vortex I was lucky enough to get a fresh start in community college and I recovered pretty well. I don't miss anything about it.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? Yep.

What type of school did you go to? Charter/Public

Were you required to wear a uniform? No; though I would have liked to depending on what it looked like. A blazer suit with a school-colors tie would have been pretty badass.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? Yep. High School is dreadfully easy as far as "coursework" goes, except for Chemistry. I hate it! It stole my 4.0 away :(

How did you fit into the high school? I was in all advanced classes, so I was very segregated from the rest of my class. I only had like a class of 200, but I would have only been aquainted with about 60 of them. Within that smaller group of people, about 25-30 of which I shared 95% of my classes with, I would say there was a mix of preppy, hipsters, and goth. I didn't really jive well with the preppy-nerds kids or the goth-nerds, so I mainly befriended the hipster-nerds, despite not really being one. If I had to pick though, from these three, I would mark that box.

What was your overall experience of high school?
A good mix of good and bad. Freshman year was terrible; my first public school! By the end, I was more self-confident and comfortable in conducting myself in such a populated social system. If anyone gave me flack, I could just roll my eyes and smirk and that usually worked well, and really, I didn't have any issues by my last two years. If you don't want to be eaten alive, don't serve yourself on the plate as the easy prey of the day! (It's not as easy as I am making it out to seem though!!)

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I don't miss it. There are still some qualities of college life reminiscent of high school. But, in a way, those with the intellectual abilities are more revered, unless you are a braggart! I mean, if you skip classes, you are either a Freshman that hasn't adjusted well or a joke that isn't taking college seriously. I didn't feel like I needed to be a group of nerds, jocks, hipsters, or whatever. I just jive with everyone who has survived the program into this last year! Which I am very excited about. The 13/14 of us, with the exception of a couple of previous seniors that didn't complete their degrees last year(s), have worked together in order to study for examinations and complete term projects. Given the smaller class size, we act very much like a k-5 class, in that we basically all have the same classes with each other, and likewise, the environment, though still competitive, feels like we are competing for the same team and willing to cooperate with each other. If I had to give this group a classification, I would say we are all aspiring political scientists. I really do have much more of a substantive identity when if comes to post-high-school environment.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have :P) Yes.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc) Public.

Were you required to wear a uniform? No.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? Not exactly. I ****ed around during freshman year and got poor grades. If I did better that year, I probably would've gone to a better college.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc) Your average high schooler. Not popular but not lonely.

What was your overall experience of high school? Sucked ****.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life? If I had a choice between going back to high school or killing myself, I'll gladly pick the latter. (OK, it's an exaggeration, but the point still stands)

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?: Yes, I'm a sophomore.

What type of school did you go to?: Went to a catholic one, now going to another catholic one.

Were you required to wear a uniform?: Yes! Really glad too, because I always tuck my shirt in, and people from my old high school would tease me whenever they saw me outside of school with it tucked.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?: Haven't graduated. I got a 3.82 GPA, and considering I gave up on myself because I hated going to school so much, I guess that was pretty good.

How do you fit into the high school?: I didn't. Unless you count sitting alone, working alone, and having no friends fitting in.

What was your overall experience of high school?: To put it lightly, freshman year was the worst year of my life. I am pretty much trying to make everything that reminds me of it disappear. If anyone asks, I DID NOT HAVE A FRESHMAN YEAR.

Luckily, I'm transferring, and took a summer school course at the new school. I love it! I'm actually looking forward to starting school.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?

I did and graduated a little over a year ago.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)

I went to a public school.

Were you required to wear a uniform?

Thanks god no, but we did have a pretty strict dress code that we had to follow.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?

My grades were good enough to have me finish in the top 10 in my graduating class, but they could have been better.

How did you fit into the high school?

I didn't fit in well at all XD

What was your overall experience of high school?

It was not the best. I am enjoying college so much more as there is more freedom and it seems to be easier overall for me.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?

I don't miss it a whole lot. As I have said the freedom is amazing!

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? I actually just got in High School.
What type of school did you go to? I went to a private catholic for Middle School. The High School I'm now in is public though.
Were you required to wear a uniform? Yes for both. But the High Shool uniform is comfy and simple, we only need to wear the shirt. We don't have to wear the uniform on Wednesdays.
Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? I think my grades in Middle School were good, but I never got a...10. The grades here are from 5 to 10.
How did you fit into the middle school? Well, I talked to tons of people, and they were really nice. It was mostly a good experience.
What was your overall experience of middle school? It was good with some terrible and annoying moments, but TONS of funny ones as well.
If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life? Well, I'll have to take more classes after High School...I would love the freedom, but miss some of the moments. (And friends if I could never meet them again)

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have )
Yeah, just graduated 2 months ago.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
    Public

Were you required to wear a uniform?
No but I wouldn't mind uniforms, it would be easier then having to decide what to wear every morning.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
LOL I barely passed but I managed to graduate.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
Popular I guess, the city I lived in wasn't too big but somehow everyone knew of me, even though I didn't even bother to know a lot of people.

What was your overall experience of high school?
Drugs. I'd rather not be banned from PC, but I had some good times, some terrible times and everything in between. High school was like a big emotional roller coaster for me.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I miss the people that I would talk to and just generally being around a lot of people. There were some times that I absolutely hated school and wish it never existed but I do miss it.

Did you go to (or still attend)
    high school? (Or middle school
    whatever you silly Americans
    have )

Yes. I'm in my senior year of high school wich is 11th in my country.

What type of school did you go
    to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)

The first two years I went to a Tecnician High School (wich is harder and has a extra year, makin it 12), but the last four years I've been in an Academyc High School (the normal stuff). Both of them were public.

Were you required to wear a
    uniform?

Yes, is the law here in Costa Rica, but each high scool has a different one. I'm a senior, and so we use a different uniform from the rest of the students of lower levels. Some high schools like mine change the senior uniform each year, making the one you used special and unique :D.

Did you get the grades you
    wanted and successfully
    graduate?

In my country the grades go from 1 to 100 of course 100 being the highest. 65 is the minimun you need for passing exams, grades, etc. Once you get 10th grade the minimun goes up to 70. That being say I got 3 grades of 90 and 3 grades of 61. The rest are 70's-80's. It's kinda average student but cannot allow being average in your senior year, wich sucks.

How did you fit into the high
    school? (did you have have
    friends, were you popular, a
    desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd
    loner etc)

By the time you get to be a senir you've been in the place for 5 years, so pretty much everyone knows who you are.

    What was your overall
    experience of high school?

So far has being good for me! I really enjoy it.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?
    I did!

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
    Public high school.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
Nooope. I've never had to wear a uniform and we didn't even have lockers, haha.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
I got overall mid-high Bs, so yes. That's more than good enough for me.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
I was pretty shy but in my senior year I started fitting in a lot better. Spoke to more people and a lot of people came to me for help and etc.

What was your overall experience of high school?
Eh.. not too memorable. My missing it slightly is mostly nostalgia-driven.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I only miss these things due to nostalgia although I do hate college haha. I can't wait to graduate and finally start focusing on work alone.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? I'm going into my Senior Year of High School.

What type of school did you go to? Public. The private schools around me really aren't all that great and the people I've met from them are really stuck up/snobby.

Were you required to wear a uniform? Nope (Thank God). I hate uniforms >.>

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? I slacked off my first two years so my GPA isn't what I want it to be. I think it's a 3.2 right now, and I could have easily gotten a 3.7 or 3.8 if I actually tried. I've never failed a class though, and my grades were usually C+ and above, so I'll graduate no problem.

How did you fit into the high school? I've got friends in a few different social groups. I have friends that are really popular and play almost all the sports they can, and then I've got friends who you don't really hear a whole lot about and the snobbier popular kids look down on. I live by the motto "If you're nice to me, I'm nice to you." As long as I don't have a reason to dislike you, we should get along just fine. Unfortunately, most of the kids in my school do stupid things (like start fights, smoke in school, bully other people, etc.), so I don't like a lot of the people there. I guess that's just how High School works.

What was your overall experience of high school? It wasn't awful, but it certainly wasn't good either. I'm really just sick of High School and want it to be over with. The people ruined it for me. A lot of people just never grow up (says the guy on a forum for a game generally made for kids XD) and repeatedly do stupid/immature things. So I'm ready to just move on to college.

No, I don't attend middle or high school anymore, thank God.

Worst six years of my life.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have)

Yes, this "silly American" went to both. Middle school in the U.S. is 7th and 8th grade, High school is 9th through 12th.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)

Public. Again, worst six years of my life.

Were you required to wear a uniform?

No. School uniforms are for communists and used by dictators.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?

You mean straight A, perfect student in the universe grades. No. Now, if we're talking 3.0 range, then yes, I got the grades I wanted.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)

Worst four years of my life.

What was your overall experience of high school?

Worst four years of my life.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?

Worst four years of my life.

    Eh, High School...

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?: Nope, graduated last December!

What type of school did you go to?: Public!

Were you required to wear a uniform?: Yeah, didn't mind it really, just a mission to change from the Sport lessons...

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?: Yeah, I didn't go for an ATAR though, I cam first in four out of five subjects, probably should of went for one then haha, no regrets!

How do you fit into the high school?: I didn't fit in at all, you could say I'm a loner, but I didn't really crave any attention/friends, it's so peaceful being alone, I'm a huge introvert it seems. ;D

What was your overall experience of high school?: Kinda boring, it was okay, it had it's moments but was a complete bore the whole way through. Completely necessary for education however!

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life? I'm loving after school life, I'm not forced to be surrounded by people that most of which aren't friendly, working full time is great.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?
We call it secondary. Finished this year, getting A level results next week :(:o:/
What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
Where I come from "public" school means private xD. It's not county council-run, its an academy. Its also selective - I had to pass 3 exams to get in.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
Yes, but only for the first 5 years. Sixth form was non-uniform. Although being told to put your blazer back on when it was hot in/outside just because some teachers were dicks, at least I wasn't bothered if I wore the same thing two days in a row.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
    Tell you on thursday

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
No really good friends, but after my nemesis (yes, I had a nemesis) left, there was nobody there who disliked me as far as I can tell. Although since school ended I've been a bit of a loner.

What was your overall experience of high school?
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs xD

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?

Technically not left, but god I hope I get into Uni. I hate my job. Seriously hate it.
