Move Animations

I thought Confide was rather interesting, it's like literally confiding in the other Pokemon. And of course Oblivion Wing is awesome, as it should be since it's the signature move of Yveltal. It's also got the cutscene thing going on, which a lot of the moves actually have, which I thought was cool.
 
XY had some animations I thought looked really dynamic and cool, like Close Combat, Dragon Pulse and Thunder. And let's not forget Draco Meteor :D

But as far as pre-XY stuff goes, BW2 had SO MANY awesome animations, like Outrage, oh my god.
 
I really like flamethrower in X and Y and Swift in pre X and Y.
 
Shadow sneak, gen VI is my favorite. I only wish the shadow that appeared looked like the pokemon that used the move.

Personally, I love Draco Meteor and Leaf Storm from generations five and six. :] Alongside, I also like Flamethrower from gen three.
 
Loved the first gen animations for Hydro Pump and Thunder. Also loved the 2nd gen animation for Razor Leaf.
 
Draco meteor catches my eyes like a falling star drifted from sky, Thunder/Thunderbolt shown lots of coolness only till Gen 4 - 5 as Gen 1 - 3 isn't much impressively catchy. Also the exploding effect of Fire blast will AMA-ZING seeing such burst of blaze.
 
Blizzard has always been a favorite move of mine. It's enchanting, yet deadly at the same time. Ice Beam, Thunder, Petal Dance are other personal favorites. :3
 
I think Retaliate is one of the most awesome looking Attacks in Gen6!
In general ive always loved Thunder, with the dark clouds and what not :D
 
Hydro Pump in R/S/E and FR/LG is waaay epic. Too bad I wasn't a fan of low accuracy moves, especially not Hydro Pump in comparison to Surf, so I hardly ever got to use/see it. :(

Then there's Thunderbolt whoa. Super-strong looking bolt of lightning and the sound effect that came with it was so satisfying!

From X/Y there's Aerial Ace and Retaliate. They really outdid themselves with improving the animations for these two.
 
My favorite move animation would have to be aurora beam. It has gotten much better since the first time i saw it in gen 3, and even then it looked cool :)
 
I like the Gen VI version of Retaliate, as well as Geomancy, Oblivion Wing, Gen VI Spacial Rend, Gen III Surf, B2/W2 Outrage, Gen IV Close Combat and all incarnations of Leaf Blade.
 
Shadow Force is easily my favorite animation. It helps that I love the move itself. Even though it's a two-turn thing, with the right prediction, you can laugh in the face of all those Protect-spammers!
 
Generation VI made Aerial Ace my favorite move animation, but Water Shurkien was really cool as well. The 3D graphics improved how realistic battles looked, and all of the moves benefited from it. I didn't like how with some moves, the camera angle didn't change at all. Felt a little odd :c
 
I liked Leaf Blade in Gen 3, Sky Attack in Pokémon Stadium if that counts and in Gen 6 I liked seeing some of my other faves like Solarbeam and Aurora Beam :) I also think they made Water / Dragon Pulse look really cool :)
 
Has no one thought to mention how amazing Acrobatics and Brave Bird look in this generation?

I for one feel like Draco Meteor got downgraded this generation for some reason.

My favourite has to be Lava Plume though, as it just generally looks like your Pokemon is powering itself up.
 
Oops forgot a couple - Fearow using Drill Run is amazing, it does like a corkscrew kinda animation and turns into a drill head :)


Hitmonlee doing things like Fake Out honestly makes me so happy as well because he actually uses his leg to kick: I've been dying to see that animation again since the days of Pokémon Stadium :)
