    Will these games introduce new trainer classes and what would you like to see?

    As mentioned in the Dive thread, Divers may be a new training class separate from swimmers.

    Also I get to be reunited with Ace Trainer Brooke {<3}

    Pokemon Ranger Catherine it is for me! {<3} I'm hoping that a lot of the outfits stay the same as they were in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald; all of them were practically perfect. I'm particularly fond of the Pokemon Ranger outfits, especially because of their awesome red-black (with yellow-brown accents) coloration and design; also, the boys look all rugged and intense, and the girls looks all alert/attentive and prepared (not to mention hot). {:3}

    (Wow, I think I just fell in love with the female Pokemon Breeder(s) of Kalos/XY (viewed the design for the first time just now) {XD}; she looks really pretty and modest and cute.. {<3})

    However, I believe that the Pokemon Breeder outfits might warrant a color change from red to green. Red outfits typically seem to be associated with Pokemon Rangers nowadays; Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen (setting the precedent) and Generation 4 introduced the concept that Pokemon Breeders are more affiliated with the color green (with brown accents) in terms of their outfits (even being seen as recently as Pokemon X and Y). The green coloration actually doesn't bother me too much and helps to distinguish Pokemon Rangers from Pokemon Breeders.

    Maybe some other Trainer classes (any of the ones that weren't in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, whether pre-Generation 3 or post-Generation 3 or exclusive to FireRed/LeafGreen) could make an appearance? Regarding Hoenn Frontier Brain Trainer classes, I would like a "Tent ______" class and a "Hill _______" class made, since I perceive the Trainer Hill as an unofficial Battle Frontier facility, and I hope that there's a new Battle Tent facility that is unique in terms of its event.

    I mentioned Divers (and/or Deepsea/Undersea Treasure Hunters) as potential new additions.. I don't know, maybe a Chief could be introduced (finally giving that unused Generation 1 Trainer Class some use). Ooh, and maybe adding a few unruly motorcyclists to Hoenn's Seashore Cycling Road!

    I'm kind of hoping that the "Triathlete" Trainer class is phased out... The cyclists and runners can easily be perceived as "Bikers" and "Joggers"; the "swimmer" sprites/artwork can also be used as an alternate asset for the Swimmer Trainer class (like how Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum had different Ace Trainer sprites, albeit due to weather conditions/location differences).

    I'm guessed that "Cool Trainers" will be renamed to "Ace Trainers" for consistency, but I've seen the term "Cool Trainers" in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald for so long, so it'll be quite jarring to see them referred to as anything else in Hoenn.. @_@

    I enjoyed seeing Cooltrainers and those top of the line trainers seemed to be named something different every time. Ace Trainers or Senior Trainers or something would be nice, I think. The Breeders and Manics were really annoying so hopefully they're just... Enthusiasts? Something to that effect. Also, were Veterans called Elders? Because I prefer Vets

    For one thing I really hope the Hex Maniacs return. They were one of my very favourite things about XY and there's no reason some of them can't have went on holidays to Hoenn! As regards new classes, some ones I'd enjoy are:

    Irritated Farmer
    Living Doorknob
    Recently Dumped Adolescent
    Robocop

    What do you mean by "Manics"? Do you mean Poké Fans (Pokémon Fan Club lovers, essentially)? ~_~ I think I'll grow to like "Ace Trainers"..eventually. XD

    "Skilled Pokemon-battling people" {XD} were known as "Experts" in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (which is a distinct class from Generation 4+'s "Veterans"), although I feel like Experts and Veterans should just be consolidated in the same thing - "Elder" is an entirely different class that was introduced in Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver. I think "Veteran" works better as terminology, though (as it seems to imply "experienced"...if these people were truly Experts, then I wouldn't be beating them so often, at least outside of Battle Frontier situations). XD

    Ahh Expert, and by Manic I think that was Maniac.. like that one you battle in a tag team on the road below Cycling Road. I'm probably remembering wrong haha

    So thaaaat's why they brought back the Hex Maniac in X & Y; will also see Aroma Lady, Gabby & TY, Dragon Tamer and more that RSE introduced.

    Ohh; yeah, Hoenn had Poké Maniacs... "Manics" sounds awesome as a Trainer class, though...maybe pseudo-legendary-Pokemon-touting girls with berserker-like, teeth-baring smiles and crazy battle text? XD I think that I would prefer the term "Maniacs" over "Enthusiasts"...it just sounds more fitting in my opinion.

    Well, that particular Trainer class did debut in Hoenn, so I imagine some of them may live there..? If you specifically mean the XY design, maybe it'll be reused or reimagined..? (OMG; the Japanese Generation 3 variants and the XY artwork are so creepy! >.<)

    ROFL at "Irritated Farmer" and "Recently Dumped Adolescent"; those sound like they would fit in perfectly with the enemy/NPC names from Mother 2/EarthBound (specifically the English localization)! {XD} They would make perfect sense as indirect references, too, since Creatures, Inc. has worked on both Pokemon and the Mother/EarthBound series.. :P

    Honestly, the Bug, Ruin, and Hex Maniacs were awesome and I loved them. <3
    I'm really hoping to see yet another return of the Pokemon Breeders, because they're just adorable and always have the cutest teams.

    OOH, maybe the Space Station can have its own little mini battles inside where you can challenge and astronaut and they'd be specified as such. c:
    Maybe like one wearing the orange jumper and the big white gloves they always wear. >u<

    Diver would be a really cute thing to see, too! Maybe have them swimming right above the Dive points (since it's impossible to communicate underwater without some device)?

    Another one I'd love to see would be an actual Pokemon Coordinator class! Challenge them on stage with appeals and outside in battles!

    I think they'll probably retain most of the original trainer classes, but maybe update their designs or something. Like how Pokemon Breeders tend to have green aprons now as opposed to the red ones they had in the original R/S.

    I'll probably be expecting the Cooltrainers to be renamed Ace Trainers since that's what they seem to be called nowadays. And given trainers (excluding important characters) now enter the battle with a Sugimori art as opposed to sprites I'm hoping the new art looks awesome.

    And given trainers (excluding important characters) now enter the battle with a Sugimori art as opposed to sprites I'm hoping the new art looks awesome.

    Agreed; I'm hoping for awesome-looking new art as well. I'm kind of hoping that Trainer classes get unique artwork as "VS Sprites"; it just seems lazy just to re-use the Ken Sugimori artwork as the VS Sprite/VS artwork (even if most Trainer classes lacked VS Sprites before). I mean, before Generation 6, we had unique Ken Sugimori artwork of a lot of Trainer classes, overworld sprites (albeit a lot were shared), unique in-battle sprites, and unique VS sprites (at least in terms of DS games), whereas now we just have overworld sprites and Ken Sugimori artwork (at least from what I can tell); I think someone said that only a few people like Lysandre actually have "in-battle models" aside from the player character?

    I think my issue mainly lies with Gym Leaders/Elite Four members/important people.. Although typical Trainers seem to have traded in-battle sprites for "VS artwork/a lot more Ken Sugimori artwork for Trainer classes", Pokemon League members (who already get Ken Sugimori artwork anyway) and similar people now get VS artwork that's just a clone of the Sugimori artwork and no in-battle "sprite/artwork" (as opposed to things like the Generation 5 games, where they got Sugimori artwork and custom "VS Sprites/artwork", in addition to their in-battle sprites). I guess I'm hoping for the use of more in-battle models (for unimportant and important Trainers) and unique-looking VS sprites (for everyone, pretty much, instead of just reusing Sugimori artwork)..?

    Sorry if the clarity in this post isn't too good.. >.<

    It seems to be so much of a waste so simply see them dumping the Sugimori artwork on the Gym Leaders. If they didn't officially show Sugimori artwork for them, then fine, but why do they have to look like that? I really thought we'd get to see stuff like how N speaks to us in BW or something, or maybe like in Pokémon Conquest, where the person speaks along with his/her perfect link Pokémon. At the very least they could add expressions like being happy/sad imo.

    I'd love to see new Trainer Classes, but I'm thinking they're just going to be revamps of old ones and stuff like Cooltrainer changed to Ace Trainer and things. It would be nice if they added stuff like Pokémon Connoisseur, Pokémon Coordinator and Pokémon Doctor.

    I really want the Furisode Girl class to return, now that I think about it. Those and the ADORABLE Honeymooners! Both the female and male were absolutely cute as hell and I hope they return with a nice little makeover, as long as their art isn't completely ruined. I also thought the 'Rich kid' classes were cool since they would actually restore their Pokemon's health in-battle like a real trainer, and even give a Full Restore afterward. Always welcome, always.

    I actually had a dream of another class (thats not weird)! Ya know how when you're surfing in all of that water between Mossdeep and Pacificlog? What if they had Pirates on the land in some places??? Like, one little island would have a few Buccaneers and then one Captain! c:
    That'd be toots cute. <3

    Wow, this is a great idea. I hope they do this. Or I think that they should put in a Contest rival. :) They might just use the "Idol" class for this that was introduced in Gen 4, though. I would totally be okay with that though. :)

    I'm sure they'll bring back the Artist & Backpackers, since I think they'd fit well in Hoenn.

    I really hope that they DON'T bring back Preschoolers, Nurses, and Doctors. I really liked how you had to stock up on supplies and then head out on Hoenn's routes and see if you could make it all the way through. I feel like it would ruin the adventure if they had people who heal your Pokemon in the middle of the route :| And battling little kids has always been kinda weird for me, haha.

    Wow, I didn't even know "Furisode" was a word; initially I was thinking it was one of those obscure Trainer classes from Pokemon Colosseum/XD/Battle Revolution.. But yeah, I would love to see Furisode Girls in Hoenn; they look so pretty! :3 Honeymooners and Tourists would definitely make sense in Hoenn, especially due to the tropical climate being something that would entice some individuals (not to mention the presence of Cove Lily Motel, the SS Tidal, the Hoenn Battle Frontier, Lilycove Contest Hall, Lilycove Art Museum, Flannery, Steven Stone, and witnessing "Groudon vs. Kyogre vs. Rayquaza" being other awesome reasons to visit Hoenn! :P).

    That reminds me, Young Couple Lois and Hal (a possible reference to the TV show Malcolm in the Middle, being the same as the names of Malcolm's parents, that inexplicably got changed in Pokemon Emerald to "Kira and Dan" -_-) need to retain their names from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire!

    Although I typically interpret Team Aqua as Hoenn's resident "pirates"; the Abandoned Ship (and maybe one dozing off on the SS Tidal?) would be a good fit for them.

    ..That reminds me, Burglars might make sense in the Abandoned Ship as well, since it seems like a place where people would scavenge and/or pilfer any available items and/or treasure..

    Hmm; that Generation 4 class could work as a Pokemon Coordinator stand-in, if we don't actually get a "Coordinator" class (which would be odd, since it seems to have risen to being a notable profession like Pokemon Trainers, Breeders, and Rangers).. Artists (and Painters, which should really just be the same thing) would make sense in Hoenn (there's even a cave full of Smeargle to paint with them to their heart's content! XD), with Hoenn being a visually stunning/breathtaking region in itself.. Backpackers on a journey would make sense as well, such as being situated at Mt. Chimeny, Jagged Pass, or the forestial Hoenn Routes 119 and 120.

    I think Preschoolers would work well (they're so adorable :3), since Hoenn already has a few young School Kids and Ninja Boys and Tubers, along with the Pokemon Trainer's School of Rustboro City (which contains young students).. Doctors and Nurses could still work well in Hoenn, but the "healing you in the middle of a Route" mechanic should be removed...if you want to heal, you stock up on medicine or high-tail it out of there and get your butt over to a Pokemon Center, stat. {XD}

    Finally, really minor, but Gabby & Ty should be referred to as Interviewers (like Sinnoh's Roxy and her partner of Generation 4), since I presume that there's more text space now to tack on the extra "S" at the end.. Also, they really need their own Trainer's Eyes/Match Call entry; it bugged me that they didn't get one despite them always being re-battleable and as well as them being appealing/interesting characters in their own right (and they work wonders for testing out Double Battle issues)! Also, whenever you call them, they should let you know their current location (which in Ruby/Sapphire ranged from north of Mauville City, east of Mauville City, and east of Fortree City, excluding their un-battleable plotline appearance at Slateport City)

    Loved all those trainer classes that they had in RSE; they were very distinct from each other and unique. My personal favorite would be Pokémon Rangers, as they get their own spin-off games later throughout the series, which is pretty awesome. :) I personally wouldn't mind if they had decided to introduce new class, but I really do want them to keep their old ones. Wouldn't mind of they get new outfits, either, but they still need to be here in some capacity.

    You never know, I think "Diver" could very well be a possibility and maybe something like a "Scavenger" Class in the Abandoned Ship :)

    ..That reminds me, Burglars might make sense in the Abandoned Ship as well, since it seems like a place where people would scavenge and/or pilfer any available items and/or treasure..

    Either this or Team Aqua goons in the ship. Since Team Aqua is going to be featured only in Alpha Sapphire, I think burglars, scavengers or scoundrels may be a good class fit inside the ship. Some of those island strips where there are lone fisherman can be inhabited by them as well.

    Now what would burglars/scoundrels be doing on stranded islands? :P

    The ship makes sense, though. Naturally miscreants would try looting a sunken ship to strip it of its valuables. There could even be an... Evil Diver or something deep down in the area where there's water and a diveable section (there was one wasn't there? Or just Surfable) idk just spewing thoughts. Maybe not "evil," that's kinda dumb, just a regular Diver. I actually really want Diver to be a class now..
