I really want the Furisode Girl class to return, now that I think about it. Those and the ADORABLE Honeymooners! Both the female and male were absolutely cute as hell and I hope they return with a nice little makeover, as long as their art isn't completely ruined. I also thought the 'Rich kid' classes were cool since they would actually restore their Pokemon's health in-battle like a real trainer, and even give a Full Restore afterward. Always welcome, always.
Wow, I didn't even know "Furisode" was a word; initially I was thinking it was one of those obscure Trainer classes from
Pokemon Colosseum/XD/Battle Revolution.. But yeah, I would love to see Furisode Girls in Hoenn; they look so pretty! :3 Honeymooners and Tourists would definitely make sense in Hoenn, especially due to the tropical climate being something that would entice some individuals (not to mention the presence of Cove Lily Motel, the SS Tidal, the Hoenn Battle Frontier, Lilycove Contest Hall, Lilycove Art Museum, Flannery, Steven Stone, and witnessing "Groudon vs. Kyogre vs. Rayquaza" being other awesome reasons to visit Hoenn! :P).
That reminds me, Young Couple Lois and Hal (a possible reference to the TV show
Malcolm in the Middle, being the same as the names of Malcolm's parents, that inexplicably got changed in
Pokemon Emerald to "Kira and Dan" -_-) need to retain their names from
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire!
I actually had a dream of another class (thats not weird)! Ya know how when you're surfing in all of that water between Mossdeep and Pacificlog? What if they had Pirates on the land in some places??? Like, one little island would have a few Buccaneers and then one Captain! c:
That'd be toots cute. <3
Although I typically interpret Team Aqua as Hoenn's resident "pirates"; the Abandoned Ship (and maybe one dozing off on the SS Tidal?) would be a good fit for them.
..That reminds me, Burglars might make sense in the Abandoned Ship as well, since it seems like a place where people would scavenge and/or pilfer any available items and/or treasure..
Wow, this is a great idea. I hope they do this. Or I think that they should put in a Contest rival. :) They might just use the "Idol" class for this that was introduced in Gen 4, though. I would totally be okay with that though. :)
I'm sure they'll bring back the Artist & Backpackers, since I think they'd fit well in Hoenn.
I really hope that they DON'T bring back Preschoolers, Nurses, and Doctors. I really liked how you had to stock up on supplies and then head out on Hoenn's routes and see if you could make it all the way through. I feel like it would ruin the adventure if they had people who heal your Pokemon in the middle of the route :| And battling little kids has always been kinda weird for me, haha.
Hmm; that Generation 4 class could work as a Pokemon Coordinator stand-in, if we don't actually get a "Coordinator" class (which would be odd, since it seems to have risen to being a notable profession like Pokemon Trainers, Breeders, and Rangers).. Artists (and Painters, which should really just be the same thing) would make sense in Hoenn (there's even a cave full of Smeargle to paint with them to their heart's content! XD), with Hoenn being a visually stunning/breathtaking region in itself.. Backpackers on a journey would make sense as well, such as being situated at Mt. Chimeny, Jagged Pass, or the forestial Hoenn Routes 119 and 120.
I think Preschoolers would work well (they're so adorable :3), since Hoenn already has a few young School Kids and Ninja Boys and Tubers, along with the Pokemon Trainer's School of Rustboro City (which contains young students).. Doctors and Nurses could still work well in Hoenn, but the "healing you in the middle of a Route" mechanic should be removed...if you want to heal, you stock up on medicine or high-tail it out of there and get your butt over to a Pokemon Center,
stat. {XD}
Finally, really minor, but Gabby & Ty should be referred to as Interviewer
s (like Sinnoh's Roxy and her partner of Generation 4), since I presume that there's more text space now to tack on the extra "S" at the end.. Also, they
really need their own Trainer's Eyes/Match Call entry; it bugged me that they didn't get one despite them
always being re-battleable and as well as them being appealing/interesting characters in their own right (and they work wonders for testing out Double Battle issues)! Also, whenever you call them, they should let you know their current location (which in
Ruby/Sapphire ranged from north of Mauville City, east of Mauville City, and east of Fortree City, excluding their un-battleable plotline appearance at Slateport City)
