Nintendo: Choose Your Character! [EPILOGUE]

It means I'm in bed after a 12 hour day. For what it's worth I just don't trust third parties.

I'll post more tomorrow once my brain functions. Parents evenings are heavy. :(
 
Going by the back and forth of naku and Klippy, I agree with the overall sentiments being conveyed here. It seems pretty obvious that some of the Klippy-voters would be mafia. Is it possible that one of them might be Lissa as well (assuming Nagi's RR of being the inkling twin* is to be trusted)?

So we're left with taking a chance with the list Klippy and Naku have put together or we can remove a (presumably) late game threat in Klippy while he's still vulnerable? If we had a 100% confirmation on one of the people on the list as a mafia role or lissa, then I'd def vote them over Klippy for today's phase but... regardless of whom we pick it still comes down to chance. Whereas with Klippy, we at least know for sure we're killing someone who isn't town-sided. :/

Apparently calling out Gunner, who was against you and creating/part of a cult, somehow gives zero reason to trust me. I even told you people targeting me have adverse effects.

It's like nobody wants to listen or pay attention.
 
Stemming from the fact that you could simply be using the destruction of a mutual enemy as a basis to foster a false sense of trust. It happens rather frequently in such situations, anyways. And getting people to not target you is still a plus for you.
 
What Naku said. It's been done before, and unless we're given legitimate proof to believe you, we have no reason to trust you.

The Lake Trio helped get rid of the mafia briefly for the town. So did Candy and I when we were the remnants of the Wights. We killed off players/houses to the best of our ability to convince players who were against those players/houses to trust us. Some trusted us, some did not. The ones who didn't trust us were right. :P

Believe me, I've been listening to you. You're just not saying anything convincing enough to keep you alive long enough to stab us in the back.
 
I'm not gonna waste my time in this game defending myself for the rest of it. You've been given several other options for targeting people that did suspicious things, but I've done nothing wrong besides be given a third party role.

I'm not saying I don't believe you could be an ally, but surely you can see why people are skeptical of town-sided third parties after Rockets.

That said, of the three third-party roles, we know there's a cultist and a fool, two non-town-sided third party roles, so it could be possible Bact threw in a neutral "win with town"-type role in there to balance things out. Although if your sole purpose is to collect star pieces to help town defeat two villains like you said, one would wonder why you're not simply considered one of the heroes and is labeled as third-party. Is there more to your role?

I still don't mind holding off on killing Klippy though. We still have Nagi if today's discussion doesn't get us anywhere. It's not a very productive move if she's really just a recruit, but it's a safe kill.

Because apparently just because a third party is looking for mafia members that makes him a good guy and we should trust him...

Guys... Fox is not Bowser. I am. Also, even if Fox was Bowser failing to recruit Pete isn't a shock, literally no night actions worked this phase (my actual real recruit included). Of course he's going to claim when it's so easy smh. I'm going to go with

I want him dead so I can confirm I'm the real Bowser.
 
it's so much more relaxed playing mafia when everyone already knows your role anyway, lol

but keep in mind that the reason he didn't join our club was presumably because dear Cynthia used one of her 'mons to nullify all NAs, so it doesn't necessarily mean that Mana is scum i suppose. but i'm fine going for him or Klippy either way.

edit: oh what apparently i missed GP's post. but how about we just not attempt to kill recruits while we have better targets than that? you really only need to find the leader to eliminate us as a threat anyway.

Ok good now that I don't have the bloody rainbow insanity potion on I can give you guys the real explanation of what really happened. When me and GP got paired together (woe be on us) we made up this little strategy. Since GP was dry bones and couldn't die until I did, he would rr as bowser (and I wouldn't cc obviously) so that in case the mafia tired to get rid of Bowser, they would go for him instead and I'd be safe. If I was ever to be lynched, I'd rr as bowser and gp would confirm it. Now he's just using the trick to turn everyone against me, which is kinda stupid because if he was the real bowser...

Wow, you did a great job of using the argument Naku spoon fed you there. Nicely done.
Why didn't you counter claim me on Day One, because you're Dry Bones and were still in the chat and on our side on Day One.
 
I am astounded you two are going after each other for being recruited when we have a more serious third party threat readily available (klippy), a list of likely people to be mafia (re: naku's post) and the actual recruiter herself (Lissa, although we don't know who yet) out there.

I mean, yeah I'd totally vote for one of you as well to figure whats going on over there (if we didn't have other targets), but if we lynch wrong we kill Bowser. If we lynch right we kill someone that will just be replaced at night. So going after either of you, for me, is low on the priority list.
