Proly not.

It'll be something stupid, maybe like Illumoth. Or something else.

That's exactly what I'm worried about. :( A lot of the Japanese names (well, from the few BW Pokemon that I know about) actually sound cool this time around... But it's (sort of) rare for the Japanese names of non-legendary Pokemon to be preserved in translation... :\ I really don't want to see any crummy English names, though...

i want Corn (the water gym leader) to be named Rainer

i want Corn (the water gym leader) to be named Rainer

That would be a nice name....

I want Desukan to be named Masacrypt ^_^

Hmm...would the 'masa' part be derived from the term massacre? (just a guess :\)

Argh...I really want to find out the English names soon! If I keep on using the Japanese names for Trainers and Pokemon, the English names are going to be very hard to become accustomed to (especially if they suck or I prefer one of the fanmade names...)!

Are the names in the Pokedex like in Gen IV or do we have to speculate?

Yes absolutely, it has such a malevolent feel to it that I think it works on him :P

Cool...it fits that eccentric Mummy ability I heard about... I might nickname my Desukan that [Masacrypt] if that doesn't turn out to be the actual name... :) Sarcophaghoul/Sarcofagul was another name I liked for Desukan...

Desukan - Cryptom
Pokabu - Floink
Zuruggu - Trouzard
Victini - Victeeny

Axiodon for Ononokusu.
Miasmoxi for Dasutodasu
Penumburn for Shanderaa
Quaketuan for Goruugu
Vescyon for Rankurusu
Euvesence for Doredia
Rocklaw for Iwaparesu
Voltrick for Shibirudon
Betwitch for Gorchiruzeru

OH MY F--... Trouzard is like, the BEST name ever for Zuruggu. Now only if there was some awesome name for Zuruzukin...

LOL...Trouzard sounds nice, and makes sense! :)

And I just realized the perfect theme song for this Pokemon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkeAzqhlkNk :cer_laugh: The theme is even furthered with the Dark/Fighting typing seemingly reinforcing a "rebel" theme...

Swana = Swana

And why does everyone think it's "Smugleaf", I don't even get what smug has to do with it?

His pose and sprite's face looks very smug and his tail looks like a leaf.

Genosect is definitely gonna stay Genosect. And I hate it.
We can safely say Chiraami is gonna be Chillarmy, too.

Tabunne could become Maybunny. According to Bulbapedia, it's partly based on a rabbit, and his name may come from 'tabun ne', meaning maybe.
Mogurew could be Molgrew, and Doryuuzu Drimmole.

Koromori - Fluffet, from fluff and bat.
Kokoromori - Harrbet, from heart and bat.

This is really fun!
