Hi! I'm good! Kind of mentally preparing myself for tomorrow's workday, have to set up 29 workstations with a colleague lol. What about you and the others?

Just having a great evening bout to head to bed for school tomorrow, then prepare a bit mentally for a interview for internship that decides if I'm allowed to graduate or not :>

Best of luck!
I ate something gross and the taste won't go away

Just got home from a rather difficult close. Urgh. I need to kick people's butts on showdown now to feel better lol.

This is one of those times where I'm glad I'm midshift and not a closer.

The rest of my shifts this week are all midshift so I'm happy. I've only ever closed once so far in my new job and that was my first day.

My mother closes, she says people coming in last minute is the worst xD

See, in my restaurant, we close off certain sections as the evening progresses, and then once the manager says that we're done, we're done. That's it. If the manager says that we're done and someone comes in one minute later, too bad for them, because the kitchen is already preparing to close.

So in that sense, I suppose I don't have "last minute" customers to worry about to ruin closing.

My mom works in wal mart and they make closing announcements but do people listen? no

omg people staying past close makes me want to tear my hair out. It's one thing if theyre actually finishing their shopping, but usually theyre just browsing. ugh! i can get pretty passive aggressive after that point lol

one of those days where you wish you had the power to kick them out

back when i used to work in retail (in theme parks, that is) it was the SAME way. @__@; if we closed at like... 8 or 9, but there was one customer left, we stayed open until they left. it's so bad because sometimes they can windowshop for like... 30 minutes to an hour and the closers are like... dying inside. poor people.

Thankfully we're allowed to "kick people out." As in, we're allowed to say "We're closed, so if you don't have something to purchase we'll have to ask you to leave." Call me a sadist but it's really damn satisfying after a long day lol

Back when I worked at a supermarket I hated closing shifts. Early on I loved them cause the supermarket was located in a neighbourhood with old people so they usually stop coming one hour before closing time.

Then they swapped locations and everything went to hell. Troubling youngsters who always argued with us that it wasn't closing time (ONE MINUTE before actual closing tome), then spending hours looking for one thing.

I'm glad I no longer work at a supermarket

I'm not sure if that's a thing here, they have to wait till all the customers leave.

Sleeping and then falling out of bed cause idk why that happened :'(
