You need less soy sauce. And mixing is for gaijin.

The way we do it is:

1. Crack the egg over the rice and spread it around the top with chopsticks.
2. Drizzle soy sauce in a thin ring with half the radius of the bowl, on top of the egg.
3. Let it rest for 30 seconds to soak in the rice.
4. Done.

More soy sauce works really well when your eggs are scrambled creamy thick, but that isn't really TKG anymore. Although it certainly is delicious.

Also yeah. Make sure that your eggs are safe to eat raw (Grade A, Pasteurized). In Japan, all eggs are fair game, but it's not the same in the US. We go to our local Japanese grocery for veggies, fruits, raw foods, etc, and Giant/Safeway/Shoppers for everything else.

Huh. You know, I never knew it worked like that with eggs. My mom's code was basically always "never eat eggs raw", so to me there was never really a difference between 'em in terms of raw edibility because to me, they were all inedible.

I'll be sure to check, but I do know at least that these are Grade A.

Over 1000. Can't give you an exact number but I know it's always over that.

About 500 of which I burn off every day.

What are you talking about? HASHI got discontinued on the second page of Chapter Four. Management had some internal conflicts and deemed the project "low priority" in deference to "more important matters." Paparazzi claims that the top executives are now spending their time on a forum about a children's game from '96.
