How much of humanity's "bad things" were shed during the hippie movement, where we just lit up, fucked whatever, and didn't give a fuck? The hippies were not intellectually extraordinary at all. But they brought a lot of love into society, and a lot of uniting. They didn't think life was all that, I'd say I share their mentality. You should too.

I wouldn't call organising huge protests against wars don't giving a fuck. The hippies didn't solve anything by doing nothing, they were politically active. The hippies certainly didn't just light a joint and suddenly racism, war and the national debt was gone, they actually did stuff, and, at least over here, they didn't solve that many problems really. Also, I'm perfectly fine with my view of life, but thanks for offering... :/

I am not sure where you got this info as the highest grossing film of all time is Avatar, which came out in, what, 2008 or somethin. adjusted for inflation it's Gone with the Wind, which I thoroughly do not understand considering it's 4 hours long. but oh well.

it did gross a shitton though, you're not wrong about that. however The Lion King is sooooo much better.

Highest grossing animated or disney movie probably. Lion King was sooo much better, that movie is amazing. I need to rewatch it right away.

I've been meaning to see Frozen, but lol we never do anything at all ever, let alone go to the theatres or anything. I don't have a life.

I'm trying to find new good music, and my biggest fear is that my emotions are too much of an influence on my ears to think they're good.

I literally like all of the music I like because of my emotions influencing my ears way too much. I love it. embrace it. it's good. I'd much rather listen to something like this where they can't play their instruments or sing but it fuckin Feels Alright as opposed to something like this where the guy is using his guitar as an extension of his penis and it ultimately feels completely devoid of any emotion or soul. But That's Just Me.
 
Music is meant to be an emotional experience at times. I can name hundreds of songs that all have some special feeling or memory associated with them.

How do you prefer to feel music though? The extension music employs on everyone is so dynamic, and those emotions can be a tool in how you feel it. But not everyone chooses to feel things in that way. There's no wrong answer here.
 
Well guys I tried to take some advice and adjust my sleeping schedule tonight. I went to bed around 9 and fell asleep pretty easily. Thing is I woke up a few minutes ago and it's only almost midnight and now I am super wide awake and hyper X_X I hate messed up sleeping patterns haha
 
I find that if I go to bed way too early, even as much as an hour, I can have a really hard time sleeping. I usually do it over a week or two, and just shift back 5 or 10 minutes each night. I find it makes the transition much easier.

For me it's just no matter what time I go to bed I am going to sleep no more than 3-4 hours. I've had this for probably 5 or so years now bad. Most nights I sleep 2-3 and that is all. I function fine the next day but sometimes I just feel dead and want to get a ton of sleep but never seem able to.

I suppose I wasn't really tired when I tried to fall asleep early. Maybe tomorrow tonight I'll be really tired since I woke up so early tonight and I can try this for round two!

Ah. I find when I have certain foods it is really hard to sleep, and even if I have a full night of rest, I'm still always dead tired throughout the day.

Yeah foods tend to keep me up as well. I always have this bad habit of eating when playing on my computer at night. I know it only hurts my sleeping even more X_x
 
What helps me sleep when I still feel awake is just laying in bed with a podcast on that last about 1 hour. You can still concentrate on it, because you aren't extremely sleepy, and if you do fall asleep during it, than that is no problem either. It also helps you empty your mind a bit, and because you lay in a dark room with your eyes closed, it really calms you. And if you still can't sleep you just play another podcast, which is fun too.
 
I guess I should start taking my melatonin at night again. It was the only thing that was a sure fire way of making me fall asleep. I kinda stopped taking it for no reason D:

I drink a lot of tea so this is probably a big issue with my sleep. I don't drink as much caffeine as I used to though. I used to drink a TON of sodas and with the tea as well I would be hyper as fuck by night time :[

Soda's prolly worse than tea tho, I'm actually able to sleep with tea. Soda is so shitty for you man.
 
Knowing how bad soda is really never stopped me from drinking it. I used to drink like 2-3 a day sometimes more. I might drink 1 every 2 days now which isn't too bad.
 
Yeah like Flight, I'm not into soda. It's not because I hate it, actually I used to drink a can a day, but I became like a health nut and obviously soda's probably the first thing you should get out of your diet if you're me, so I haven't had a drop of soda for around 3 years now.

But to deal with sleep, I just eat something. It gives me something to do and keeps me awake since I'm moving.
 
I like frapps.

A nice cool soother for hot days, although where I am the weather is getting pretty inappropriate for one so yeah, gotta pass it for a while.
 
Caffeine doesn't really affect me I can pass out after drinking an energy drink, coffee, and energy pills. I don't know if it is just the state of mind I have developed over the past few years or I'm just really good at falling asleep.
